I was scared just watching that. When the worker started to free climb the angled braces at the top of the tower, I clicked out of the video. Wow!

I turned the sound all the way down on the clip and listened to this. Seemed appropriate. The camera even moved to the beat...

Wonder if they wear parachutes?
That's nuts. I wonder if they get paid in relationship to the height/risk of the tower?

My buddy does that for a living. His freaking legs are like tree trunks. Its not the heights that bothers him its the weather. Freezing rain and 40mph winds are no joke when you dont have any shelter

I climb occasionally. Never had the opportunity for that kind of height though.
After the first 6' its all relative. Agreed, exposure to the weather is by far worse on a climb than on the ground. You are exposed with no where to hide and no way to quickly get down. The only other thing worse is having to take a dump. Try to imagine that strapped to a tower when you have the runs and no TP.
Or people on the ground wondering where the rain sprinkles are coming from on a clear day.

Me too man! My palms were sweating like a 13 year old with a playboy:rofl:
I was wondering about the chutes as well?
Do they have to climb back to the elevator, or do they rappel?

Nope, I'm with ya there....f-that!
Glad there are people with the balls to do that chit!
I'll stick to getting shot at occasionally:rofl:
