After I sold my Mustang, We were looking for the next shop car and decided to do a 67 Camaro to use at autocross events and as a demonstration vehicle for prospective customers. We found a suitable shell and had Ben Hermance do a rendering of what I had in mind and he applied some great ideas on it as well, this was over a year ago.
Well a customer came in, liked what he saw and bought the car and wants it done exactly like the rendering! So I still don't have a car of my own, but he will be taking it to many events and using it the way we wanted to. It will feature Art Morrison front and rear clips, 800 hp twin turbo LS3, T56 magnum, with triangulated 4 link in back. The car is getting vinyl wrapped in Satin grey, carbon hood with Satin clear, shaved drip rails, flush glass and Rushforth wheels in 2 tone. Everything is going the flat look and I know some people are going to love it and some people are going to hate it,but it was going to be my personal car and thats what I wanted!

What an awesome renedering  Really like the look and sounds like you have a great plan. And for what it's worth I think the "satin" look is going to be killer :unibrow:

Really diggin all the design queues and color except for the magenta. Different for sure, just not my personal preference. My style would run closer to a flat red. Car looks great.

The "magenta" is actually closer to a burgundy. The actual powder coat code is called "Crimson Red"

Thanks for the comments guys! It's a maroon metallic but I usually render the cars in a natural/outdoor environment with the blue sky reflecting some blue tones. That could be why it may appear Magenta. I can't wait to see this one completed. Thanks for the opportunity to help out!

The color seems to come in a couple of diff flavors:

Some of the metallics look really deep. I'm sure it'll look great fellas!

Steve that all looks great. That intake looks very nice in there (looks to be a precision metalcraft, right?) Did you have it anodized black, or ?

CF hood, are you sure it won't melt? I was thinking of getting one for my project but not sure about the high temps w/turbos...also in my case w/Iron Eagle SBC the weight savings = throwing a deck chair off the queen mary

Rob, it is a black anodized precision metal craft, everything will be black. Turbos are black ceramic, and all plumbing, valve covers ect. We will be lining the underside of hood in a product called lava shield, hopefully that along with turbo placement, we will be alright.

Firewall complete. We were going to put some steps in it to give some design, but figured it would be busy enough under the hood with all of the plumbing and so we kept it smooth and simple

Next up is fitment of the radiator, intercooler radiator and AC condenser. These will be pushed forward to allow as much room as possible for turbo plumbing. It will all be tight, especially with the RS headlight doors.

The holidays are over and its time to get caught up! Weve been working on the front valance to figure how much room were going to have for pushing forward and packaging everything. (radiator, air induction, intercoolers, AC condensors ect ect )The RS doors create an even tighter package, but we'll figure it out.

The lower front valance is its own piece located with dowels to the spoiler corners

The good news is that my Wife does not like my Plastic front spoiler..

The bad news is that she will not approve spending the money right now to fabricate a metal one and paint it Black..

BUT... Once the Interior is done....I will revisit that. Had not thought of doing that until she mentioned it...

Better late than never, here are some updates on the Camaro Twin Turbo project here at EBMC.
One-off tanks on both inner fenders for the power steering reservoir and coolant reservoir, custom brackets for breather tank and coolant overflow on the firewall, custom looms for hoses...

Yes, the tanks were built in house, there is one on each inner fender. Next time they are both on the car, I will take a pic.

The front sub is an unmodified AME, not exactly sure what reliefs your referring to?
NO airbags at EBMC.....unless customer insists:D

Finally getting around to posting few shots before everything was dissasembled for bodywork and paint. Once the engine compartment is color coordinated, it will look a bit different, but you get the idea.......

We really don't have many pics of the dash while in fab process, but it will be very similar to Tenacity's layout, with the exception of the new Dakota Digital vertical mount VA controller. We are also working on a completely new gauge layout incorporating a great new product from Dakota Digital that I'll post when further along.

Due to a huge work load at the shop,we've been lagging on updates and starting threads on new builds lately but will try and update soon. There is a WHOLE lot of cool projects happening right now including this one.
The customer has a monthly budget thats dictating pace but It's back from paint and we've been assembling with a planned debut early summer. I'll try to post some pics this week...really!

Sorry for the lack of updates, we have been swamped with complete builds around the shop and lagging on any posts. With no big SEMA push for this car we were able to take a break, regroup a bit and in retrospect was a huge plus for all involved. The car which is now known as "Snowblind" is in the final push stage and we are in the process of interior. A few misc shots is better than nothing I guess!

Thanks guys! Appreciate the compliments. We still have a few things to wrap up, specifically a good tune. But initial indicators are...its fast! We will be dyno testing soon but it will be for our original intention, driveability and NOT peak horsepower. That seems to be every ones first question " How muck horsepower? Too many You tube videos I guess. Contrary to belief, you really don't want 1500 hp on the street.
We are entered in the Fontana USCA event just to have a good time and stretch its legs a bit so we need to get busy preparing for that. We scaled it and it came in at 3600 lbs 52/48, not too bad considering all of the water to air plumbing up front. Ive been spending a lot of time going fast in a straight line with my drag car lately so I'll need to remember to turn the wheel!:drive:

A few updates: A couple weeks ago we headed down south and stopped by Turnkey Engine Supply for some tuning and dyno time. Unfortunately their dyno would not physically accommodate the car due to it being an above ground type. But we did get some good seat of the pants dyno time in! Im very happy with this small twin turbo combination it seems to be very drivable and when in the mood, light the tires off in 4 gear. I would guess at least 750 Rwhp. We then left the next day for a car show at K&N headquarters in Riverside, got teched and "stickered up" for the USCA event on Sat in Fontana. At this point we had never hung a turn in the car at any kind of speed and had only 80 miles on the clock. Fortunately, we were able to do some "testing" on the grounds at Fontana on Friday evening.(and even a couple good drag races with Kyle Tucker!) Had a blast on Sat. were able to sort out some brake bias adjustments, got some good info on some spring rate changes to be made and got a little seat time. Overall very happy with its performance. The topper was the first place in the Lingenfelter Design and Engineering award category. There was some very nice cars so that was quite an honor!
Our next stop is SEMA, we have once again partnered up with K&N and will be displaying in their booth.
heres a couple of pics courtesy of Lat G......

Thanks guys, Randy there are no reverse lights. good idea on license light/ reverse but usually they are hidden and probably wouldn't provide the right angle though.

So now that the dust has settled after SEMA we can update a bit. We had an excellent spot in the K&N booth in Central hall, got some great press and on Weds got a golden ticket for OUSCI placed on the dash. Thursday morning we were very proud to have been chosen for a GM design award for best underhood. A huge honor considering the selection of cars there!

Ousci was a great experience although quite a bit different than when we last participated in 2012. Most cars this time around seemed more purpose built for this event and we felt we didn't really "fit in". Not to make excuses for my rookie driving, but I was very conservative in the speed stop and hot lap challenge as I could have done some serious damage in any off road excursions. We knew we weren't going to pose a threat to the "top dogs" so why take the risk in a car I don't own!
In a car that is more setup for street performance, comfort and less than optimum tires (Nitto Invo's!), we accomplished what we wanted and finished 3rd in the design and engineering segment. Overall the car feels very good and is probably the most quiet, smooth running all around package pro touring car we have built. Not to mention it hauls butt too!

The tank(s) mount was machined in house and they are held in by set screws. Two 1/4 -20 bolts come in from the back and thread into bracket.
