if its anything like my 70 nova you should just have to push down on the front of the seat and pull it forward all in one motion. There is two hook like latches that hold the frame of the seat down. I know this sounds vague but that's all that is there holding mine down and I don't imagine a 69 camaro would be much different. Hope this helps and if not hopefully someone else can chime in here. Good luck.

Here is a pic of the seat back and seat floor hooks. Its a bit different on the seat back vs the seat floor. But hopefully you will see how you have to push first then kind of pull from the hooks. Sorry don't have a better pic of the hooks.

I usually have to give mine a punch towards the back of the car to get it unseated. Steady pressure is not enough to get mine to release.
