I've been following the epic thread on Vital. lol

It's nothing short of being an idiot. He's making millions off endorsements and he does crap like that... could be a felony (although I think he will just get a slap on the wrist).

Now if Dungey never would have had that broken chain in A2, it would be even more interesting. As you can tell, I'm a RD fan. :D

I knew he and his father were crap when we saw him racing 85's at the US open in Vegas in 2000.He and his fried ckicken eating dad were so rude to the other racer's and fan's.Give his kind enough rope and they will alway's hang themselves.

All he had to do was drive around them, they were off duty, FL cops could careless, half of the time, specially off duty!

Ah, but you're missing the point. They bought the lights so they could screw around with people and "pull them over."

I had some "friends" who had a set of lights - but they would only pull up behind people they knew at least. Regardless..... I can probably find the video of the police chase of one of them on a motorcycle going the wrong way on the turnpike after he flipped off a cop and rode off on a wheelie.

I've since tried to upgrade my friends circle. :_paranoid

Hopefully RD loses a bunch of money from sponsors.....

I was reading some comments on this at racerxonline.com and I am amazed at the fools who think this is just the FLA police picking on the guy? I realize there are stupid people out there, I didn't realize how many would think this was OK. WTF?

i think he likes his chicken. i was at a regional race in VA. when he was on 80's still and his dad was doing the same thing.

funny how many people that you wouldn't think follow the same sports all check out the same message boards. supercross.com also has pretty decent info from time to time.

He's a young guy with alot of influence and $$....guess what? They all do stupid stuff.......

When you were his age I bet you did some really stupid stuff in your day. He just picked the wrong thing to do and use it on the wrong people....and hes a public figure so its all over the media. Bad decision....we all make them

I hardly even know anything about AMX or this guy....seen his "Bubba" show......thats about it. His dad seems to be a real hard ass

He did a really stupid thing....made a bad choice. But in the big picture it pales in comparison to some of the things some other young wealthy "stars" out there have done. Lets not blow this out of proportion.

Ned,

With all due respect, it is a big deal to those of us who follow Motocross because the guy is a RICHARD HEAD of the tallest order. Refers to himself in the first person, the whole nine yards. Yeah, I did stupid stuff, speeding, sneaking out of the house and getting caught, sneaking into my girlfriends house and getting caught but felony crime? Never.

At least it is a big deal to me because of this!

Like I said....dont really know squat about the guy....if this incident is really just the tip of the iceberg of his behavior, then so be it...he gets what he deserves.

My point is that no one is perfect.....everyone makes mistakes. I'm just not the kind of person to crucify someone for making one stupid decision....keep making them over and over and/or just be an overall douchebag and you get what you deserve.

Maybe the P.O.S. could ride better if his big swolen head wouldn't throw him off balance. I just wish when he ran out of talent while riding Chad Reed wasn't around. If he's not crashing out all by himself he just happens to be taking out Chad Reed. Lame roll model for kids to see. Can't stand the guy. His dad will buy his way out of this and it will get swept under the rug. He should be suspended for a few races.
