Hey Guys,

I am looking for a base model '70-'74 Firebird ('73-'74 preferred but not mandatory) for a build I am currently planning. It does not need to be a Trans Am or Formula and prefer it not be to keep costs down. Projects are fine too.

Looking for something that is a good base to start with, more complete the better.

I am in NJ and will travel or ship...let me know what you have.

Thanks,
Dave

Hey Dave,

You do know that the 74 is considerably different than the 70-73's right? Different bumpers f/r a few other changes with 74 mandates.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Very aware...have owned MANY Firebirds on my short time here on this chunk of rock...9 to be exact. The back window is the biggest issue I do not feel like reconstructing from a later model. They switched to a wrap-around in '75. Everything else is rather easy to make work...front = VERY easy, back = bit more work but doable

Plus the application for what I need it is very specific. If I get a '74 then that is what I am building...it is for factory appearance stock tire racing. '70-73 can be cloned to a '73 SD 'Bird easily and the '74 is standalone.

Thanks!
Dave

Dave, I figured as much. I own a 74 z-28, and I am hooked on the non wrap around window. I have a popular hot rodding where a dude took a 77 trans am and put a 70-73 front end but left the wrap around window. Cool car, but like the non's better.

I'm in California and I happened to have a 1972 Firebird. It is missing the engine but has the auto trans. The seats are all there and dash is still intact. It needs a complete resto but it has the dual scooped hood. If you are interested I'll send you a picture and I'll try to cut you a fair deal to make room in my yard...

Thanks Lenny
