This will be my last tire question..I promise :)
Will this set up work on a 1968 Camaro (it's mini tubbed)
255/35/18 Front
305/30/19 Rear
The biggest problem I had was matching a tire that has similar sidewall height.
Obviously if the sidewall height in the rear is slightly taller than the fronts, no biggie.
From my calculations the front side wall height would yield 89.25 mm in the front and the rear would yield 91.5 thus be a working combo for the street?
Is this correct?
Thanks.

I'm sure Frank will be along in no time to answer this one!! He's great at nailing these combos on first gen camaros!
Good job on the homework. The sidewall differences are very slight and with a hair more in back, you'll be looking good. I'd like to hear what other 67-68 guys say but I imagine the 255 up front is going to be a little tight and you're going to have to do a little minor massaging and sacrifice a little turning radius but it should work.

Thanks for the reply but I hope you recalculated the sidewall height for me :_paranoid
I started a thread regarding front tire fitment on a first gen camaro onthe stock subframe and James OLC said he ran a 255/35/18 with GW control arms with NO rubbing, so I should be good.

I've been looking at tire/wheel sizes for some time now and have in my notes that OLC currently runs a 275/35-18 which is 25.6 diameter with 3.79 sidewall. Though I have no camaro, the 255/35-18 would be a little on the small side for me with a 25" diameter.
In trying to keep the front as 85-90% that of the rear for balance, I've come up with the following combos:
Front Rear
245/40-18 285/35-19
245/40-18 295/35-19
255/40-18 295/35-19
275/35-18 295/35-19
275/35-18 325/35-19 (Red Devil and Z06 Standard size. I dream that this might fit my car one day.)

Ya, take a look. http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp There's a little more sidewall in back than in front

What an awesome calculator...very technical. I didn't come across this calculator when I was searching
Jayson, do you think this would be a good looking combo on a 68 Camaro? I suspect it will since Evade is running 18 / 19 combo and looks great. The 19 rear really fills the rear wheel well and the 305 will be nice and wide enough for some decent power.
