Thats a pretty decent collection that bad boy is losing Jeff. I believe I know who your talking about. I just witnessed another collection of cars that had to go not to long ago here down the street. Heres a short list of the ones I know of that were just in his garage. Ford GT40, 67 stingray, 70 AAR cuda, Benz SL63, Benz GL550, 63 vette conv. Maybe u seen these also come through a couple of weeks ago. Same color combo on the GT.
Times are tuff.
Curious on what the Ford GT goes for, wonder if the short sale would be the same as the one I mentioned.

I work for the auction company. I was there the night that they came in from the guy's house that they were seized from.

C'mon....spill the beans. What did the guy do that was so bad? Fess up!! We all love gossip. I don't care about a name, I'm just nosy. :_paranoid He had quite a stable with Ferrari, Aston Marin, Merecedes and one of my favorites...the Bentley.

I am a little reluctant to post about that yet. As soon as the government does a press release, I will. Trust me, it was pretty clever.

It's crazy. I read an early draft of the press release they plan to put out. They name the guy and his wife and exactly what they got busted for. I guess they are trying to put teeth in it and show that crime does not pay.

In creating this post I mainly wanted to start getting the word out about the sale of the cars in case anyone was interested or knew anyone who was. At least the Superformance Cobra should be within reach, around $50k.

so what did he do that he got busted for?

Van B

As I said in a prior post. I don't want to say too much before the government puts out the press release. Let's just say that the IRS siezed his assets after he understated his income (avoiding income tax) after he cheated a well known company out of a large sum of money.

It's what happens when you live large and can't pay your taxes...

Just guessing - 'cause I have no idea what happened. Just guessing whatever it was wasn't good.

Check the Jalopnik link in post 23. Pretty much spells it out. It's been fun having them around, but it will be even more fun being involved in selling them.

Prison is too good for these basterds... They should just be taken out and shot.

A car guy I knew (I hated him) took his clients for millions and pissed it away on cars and living large. He finally got 10 years in the pen... but his clients got a lifetime sentence of destitution. Most were well up in years and he KNEW he was stealing their retirements! Most of his clients were with this jerkoff for 20 years or so. In the meantime he gets 3 squares - healthcare - and a hot cot.

During the investigation -- he got drunk and fell and hit his head... he told the cops someone (me) shot him in the head. The cops called me and asked about this. My response was "if I'd have shot him he wouldn't be talking to you now!" LOL

Enzo sold for $1,280,000. The information you posted is accurate, but only some of the cars were in the government sale. The others were in a dealer only sale afterward. The Enzo price is not in the listing that the other guy posted due to a computer glitch since the price was in 7 figures.
