I have been working on this car for quite some time now and decided to start a thread and post up some pics of the car. I just dropped it off at the interior shop this morning, so its getting close to being finished. Started out as a real good rust free car, and I wanted to do something a little different then everyone else. I have another project '' in the red'' that has been put on the backburner as of now to get this car finished. Car is as black as you can get it with custom flamed stripes. TCI suspension front to back with ridetech air ride and polished stainless tigar cage. Everything on the suspension is polished stainless steel. The bottom side of the car has been wet sanded, buffed, and hand rubbed. Polished stainless tank. Mast Motorsports LS7 6speed. All moldings, emblems, bumpers, air vents, pedals, etc are done in black chrome by advance plating in Nashville,TN. The air vents, pedals, etc were all custom made by a local shop. Interior is all black leather with titanium inserts and carbon fiber. Door panels and console is made of carbon fiber/leather. Custom dash that has a hidden pushbutton compartment for additional guages. All american autowire throughout the car. Touchscreen navigation with all Audiobahn sound system, bluetooth, pwr windows and locks, etc. The backside of the hood and trunklid have been sheetmetaled smooth and also have the flames as well as the firewall. The firewall also is completely smooth, so a custom made brake and clutch master cylinder setup was built for the car and relocated to under the dash. I know that I have probably left a lot of things out. Anyway let me know what you think because I value your opinions on this site, a lot of top notch badass cars here...

Finally took my mock up hinges off and put the black chrome hinges on. Crappy cell phone pics but wanted to post them. I will get some better ones as well as some of the console. Interior is coming together awesome, should be done mid next week. The plating on the hinges turned out unbelievable. I added a pic of mock up hinges on the car.

Here are a few pics of the hood with the black chrome SS Ornaments. I just stuck them on for a couple pics without the screens. The air vents and pedals are made from billet and then black chromed. They were custom made by a local shop. The engine pic is for my "in the red" project. I have custom sheetmetal valve covers to add. Its all powdercoated black...

I think this is the same car I seen alittle over a year ago.My friend bought a 62 plymouth off of someone at the Rod Run.This looks like the same car.I remember the carbon console and door panels he was showing us upstairs in the garage.
Are you his son?Seems like he said the car belonged to his son.

Well finally made some progress this week. Went to the interior shop while they are working away and finishing the car up and put the back bumper on and rear marker lights in. Still need to add the rear bumper guards. The black chrome finish turned out excellent. I installed the custom made AC vents in the dash and decided to put ac vents into the dash pad instead of cutting and installing in the dash. I got a non ac dash pad and the shop is covering it in leather. Also, got another pic of the console, got the stainless piece cut for the console that will house the guages, switches for the air ride as well as a cupholder. Thought it turned out awesome. I didnt want it to just be square, so we made it a little different. By the time its installed and polished I think it will turn out good. The power window switches install just in front of it as well.

Did you mini tub the car to get the 20x11 wheel to fit? I hope you dont regret selling it. It really is a nice looking 69 and looks like alot of time/money was spent to get it there...

I sold it to a friend of mine locally, but he bought the car for his son in Destin, Fl. I did notice that its on hotrodhotline.com for sale, so I am not sure if his son changed his mind or what. I basically got $126k out of the car. I took a chevelle and 67 camaro in on trade along with 60k cash. I have since sold both the chevelle and camaro. Its online now for $130k. The car was super nice and honestly I wont miss the car because I was afraid to even drive it due to being more show than go in addition to two small kids I have playing around it in the garage, I was a nervous wreck LOL. The car had a lot of money spent on it. The rear-end was narrowed some to get the wheels to fit and the inner lips rolled but it wasnt minitubbed. It was an extemely tight fit.

Just got "In the Red" running a few nights ago. I am going to drive/enjoy that car. I plan on autocrossing the car some and driving it daily basically. I am going with a custom red leather interior in the car is the plan. I am really close to being done!
