I have several battery tender's and a ctek charger, I am looking for the big old 10amp car starting and charger type charger. I have a dead battery on a tractor and those battery tenders won't help in this situation, (unless of course it was hooked up to prevent this kind of stuff. I realize the irony) Any thoughts?

My experience - been through two Craftsman 60/120 amp chargers. Not sure why they grenaded, perhaps chinese models? I'll not buy another one...

Thanks for the advice. My craftsman bit the dust as well. Ordered up a Schumacher model with all kind of fancy bells and whistles. I will keep you posted!

John Deere sells a quality line of battery chargers available from any JD dealer. They have a really nice 2/10/50amp charger that is perfect for a home shop.

Agree. I once look for the product and got it. It works fine most especially in the level of voltage. The cost would range from $200 and up depending on the class.
