After getting my chassis from roger for my tri-5 project, i decided to send my 62 to roger and the guys at ironworks to build a chassis for it .
c6 front ,9in rear ,coilovers in a typical slammed stance .
here is the rendering of it .
when it comes back we will install the bubbletop from a 61 .

Sweet!
Are you sure you're capable?
Will the chassis be an X frame?
I like it!!! Bubble tops have always been a favorite. Ironworks will do her justice I'm sure.
A good friend just picked up this '62 Impala, when he pulled the cover I had a big smile.

It will be a 'modified' X-frame........... Where the hell is Rodger? He should be jumping in any time now.

I think the car looks great how it is. Skip sent I could see goin out to Kenny's for a weekend with him and Joe Dirt cruising the street of Arkansas. Yeehaw.

I have been telling roger that there is a market for 58-64 cars , and no aftermarket frames yet for them .

I look forward to seeing this car get completed, seeing as how I need some of the parts from Kenny's 61 donor car. lol
I have been telling roger that there is a market for 58-64 cars , and no aftermarket frames yet for them .I think you're right. Possibly the popularity of the 64-70 cars makes them too common a project for some, or the next generation of retirees and the time period conicides with first high school or drag race car?

Can't wait to see what Rodger does with the frame. I have an x frame that I have been building, and I know he will put mine to shame! Very cool project..... Tell him to hurry up, no one cares about chevelles!! (Joking!)

I thought AME had a frame for them? Regardless, I think you're correct though. Nice rendering and plan. I'm loving these cars more and more.
I can't wait to see this. I really like this car.
