Anyone here a pro with second Gen corvettes? Value wise, car wise etc? Or NCRS members?

I am looking at a 66' Stingray and wanted some info help with it. I've already decoded the trim tag
Details:
006 = June build date
Style 66 = 1966
437 = Coupe
Trim STD = Black Vinyl
988 Paint = Milano Maroon (3,799 built that year in that color)
A-0637 = A for AO Smith Plant and 637 = the 637th coupe made there

The car has undergone a complete restoration (not frame off) and has been housed in a climate controlled building along with other collectables. The owner states that it is a numbers matching car.

The owner wants to cut back on the number of cars in his collection

I'm not an expert, but numbers matching, what engine size/hp and options play a significant role in the value of these cars.

I seem to remember Greg knows a lot about these cars.

Would recommend that you do a post over at http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-and-c2-corvettes/.

There is a lot more that can be wrong if you don't have an eye for it. For example, how is the birdcage? It is major work to get one out, as you can see here:

If you ask for someone near where the vehicle is, there is a chance someone can give you a deeply informed opinion.
