Does anybody have pictures or a link to pictures with 18x11 wheels mounted with 335/30R18 tires (preferably on a 67 or 68 Camaro). I really like the BFGoodrich KDW tires and their price compared to the Michelins is much better. I was looking at running 17in wheels but would be forced to use the Michelins. Some of the rims I plan on running only seem to come as large as 18x11 or 17x11. I know you can have them widened but don't really want to go down that road if I can avoid it. The 335s say they can be mounted on a 11in wheel but I would like to see how much bulge they have when done.
Thanks,

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Velocity, the 1968 camaro built by Air Ride using a 18x11 CCW rear wheel with 335/30R18 BFGs. I always thought they were 18x12 but I came across a few articles and even their own website says that they used 18x11 rear wheels. The bulge does not look that bad and even protects the wheel a little more.
Thanks,

I have 18x11.5's that you can check out. Go to my build link in my signature.

Like Chris, I'm have a 18x11.5 w/ 335 tire.
I had 17x10's w/ 315 and didn't care for the look (needed a wider wheel and the tire was too short).

I know some of the 17 inch wheels come in 17x11, but what 18 inch wheel is limited to 11 inches wide? Once you go over 10" wide, isn't it all custom anyway?

BFG recommends 11.5-12.5 rims with a 335 same with the PS2's. but Michelin makes a 315 and BFG doesn't. i think an 11" rim with a 335 would have too much tire bulge and look bad on that wide of tire.

what rims are you looking at? there are a lot of wheel manufactures that will make you 11.5 or wider wheels if you ask.

That is great, TireRack shows that you can go down to a 11in wheel with the 335 but when you go to the BFGoodrich website, they show that a 11.5" wheel is the minimum. Some of the wheels I have been looking at are the Vintage Wheel Works and they will only go up to a 11in wheel. I like the vintage look as I feel it won't go out of style. Not sure if I want to go with a 3 piece wheel, seems like it might be a pain to keep up the cleaning with all of the exposed fasteners unless you go with a hidden fastener option that only a few wheel manufactures are able to offer. If anybody has an opinion on cleaning the typical 3 piece wheel I would love to hear it.

not sure where you looked on tire rack but thats where i got my info about the 335's on 11.5" wheels.

i have forgeline 3 piece wheels on two cars. my '69 had black centers with stainless hardware and polished lips. i'm not sure on keeping those clean yet since its not done.

i have another set on the girlfriends cts-v and hers are powder coated and we just wash them with car wash soap to keep them clean.

check out forgelines web site, they are very nice people. i bought mine through frank at prodigy customs.

I just had mine mounted up. They are 17X11 with Michelin 335/35R17. I think they look great and don't have a lot of bulge.

I can't afford the three piece wheels so end up getting the TTII's for now.

I must have been getting the wheel size minimun confused with the Michelin Pilot 335/35 R17 which can go down to a 11in wheel. I do like Forgelines but not sure I can stomach the price.

Your tires and wheels look awesome. The bulge looks good, not too much. I wish there were a few more tires in that size, preferably the BFG in the KDW though I have read comments about the Michelins lasting longer that the BFG KDW.

Mine are the BFG KDW2 in 335 on an 18x11.5 wheel. You can run an 11 also will just make it 1/4" narrower on each side which will hardly change the sidewall look.

18's, In a 2 piece, yeah.

3 piece are usually about the same in price.
