Yes, its a boat! My guys decided I have to start working on it again, because if I don't get the body on it this winter I will cease to be a car owner and become a nobody again! Oh and as it develops, feel free to suggest some sort of name for the car. I am drawing a blank, but I want to incorporate a project name into the parts like I have been doing with alot of other cars. Post your ideas! Humor is acceptable!

It is the Canadian version of a Catalina. My goal is to make a big car cool and throw a bunch of technology at it. The project is taking a couple turns and will probably completely change, like most shop owners personal stuff.

Currently it has an LS1/t56, but I think that will either get built up or change when I can afford something else. I am leaning towards boost at this point... in the form of some turbos, but not up high/front. Car is on air ride because I love the look, but I think we can still make it handle. I am going to put in the ride select version of the shockwaves too so I can stiffen up the rebound/compression while driving. One of the biggest changes that is happening is we are going to take 4 to 6 inches out of the rear section of the trunk/quarters and a couple inches out front to bring it down to chevelle size and screw with peoples perception.

I designed a 3 link for it around the stock lower suspension points, but it is fully adjustable and designed to work (thats what the computer says) Even all the adjustment points are on arcs so you dont have to lengthen or change the bars!

the front suspension is based on stock, with air ride lower arms modified for newer b body tall spindles, with custom upper arms with delrin bushings and offset shafts to set some nice camber. The upper control arm mounts were also removed and welded on on an alignment machine at "ride height" so set the base geometry.

Notice the "no nuts visible" upper control arm shaft ends!

Bryce,

I LOVE your build. Subscribed! I have always wondered why no one pro-tours Falcons. Now I found one! I like what you have done. front suspension is cool too. Nice take on a watts linkage mount, its different and cool.

I kind of like the black rims..... depending on the color of the car Newgen lites would rock on it!

Want to see where the front end is going, are you doing anything else to the bumper area? (i take it thats a mustang fiberglass bumper, just wondering if you are doing anything else?)

Very cool. Keep posting progress on yours, I want to see it!

Very cool!

Do yourself one favor, re-weld the factory welds where the lower control arms meet the frame. I once jammed a beautiful second gear in my old '61 Impala and yanked one of those bracket right off the frame. A very scary ride after that as the lower arm dug into the asphalt! The factory didn't always get good weld penetration on those it seems!

Shiny Side Up!

Great build. I learned how to drive in a 64 Parisienne and drove it for the last 2 years of high school. Looking forward to seeing some pics of the body and what you do with it.

Same here! Bought mine when i was 14, put a 454 in it, took it on my driver's test and drove it until mid-college before tearing it apart.

Have some really cool things going on with this one right now, lets just
