View Full Version : '69 Nova, kinda pro-touring

Hey everyone, this is my personal project. Not exactly a corner carving pro-touring car. More resto-rod I guess you call it. Trying to get it done before spring but most(all) of my time is spent on customer work. It will be powered by a 496 with '69 GM snowflake aluminum heads, a GM tri-power, TKO 600, 12 bolt. Factory rubber mat, bench seat interior. Radio and heater delete. No options, all business!

Reminds me of a 'Dick Harrel' type of car. Plain Jane 6cyl stripper model w/a dealer installed drivetrain on steroids  .

Thanks, it's actually red. The pictures look more orange though. It's scarlett red, a PPG mixing toner.

Thanks, the tires are done by Diamond Back Classics. They are smooth with the redline raised. They can red ring about any tire.

The rear shock mounting kit is from No Limit Engineering. Its a bolt in deal. I do need to take it back out and notch it above the rearend.

Nova turned out sharp. I plan to use the same hood for my Nova. I'm going to go with black with a white stinger. Those are the CL205's arn't they? I've got the same wheels too. Your car is very traditional looking with lots of modern suspension upgrades. Beautiful car! Thanks for sharing!
