I just purchased a 468 for my chevelle. I had the chance to drive it and rev it before i bought it. The thang ran very smoothe and sounded good. He told me it had an Eagle crank, rods, and Speed pro pistons, the cam was a flat tapped hydraulic. So i couldn't wait till i had the chance to take it out of his car. So just being myself I knew i was going to change the valve covers anyway and put a hydraulic roller cam in it. (Oh forgot he said the heads was ported and polished... So anyway i pulled the intake off to find the heads wasn't even touched and i found this..

Now that made me mad.. So i found i needed to get a head job then i need to get rockers.. so i was like dang i wonder if the rest of the motor is what he said..lol. So off the heads went and then i was little supprised. So I started to break it down and everything esle checked out ran the numbers on the other parts. Only thing is now to get him to first come look at this and refund me some of money. But he didn't know the block was stamped HI PER on the back and the heads 781's. So i think 1500 wasn't to bad. What u guys think?

I would like to get at least almost 600hp out of it. Do anyone knows what to do and what parts you think would reach that point?

Here's a list of things i thought would do it but i'm no way sure.

Comp gold 1.7 rockers
Comp mutha thumpr hydraulic roller cam
Comp hydraulic roller lifters
Comp pushrods for the hydraulic roller cam
Port and polish the heads. (don't know if i have much room to shave them because of the piston height.)looks like 13.8cc. dome he said he could only use 91+ I guess that would be around 10.23:1 ratio
I already have Edelbrock rpm air gap for the oval heads
Speed demon 850 carb
