Ill start by saying when the truck came to the shop i never thought it would be what it is today. Heres where the truck will be when finished.

Here's a few of the frame, and interior before disassembly. Oh and the pile of parts we started with.
The truck was started about 20 years ago buy the customer. He had Kugel Komponents install a front clip and Corvette independent suspension and run all the brake lines. To say the least things are about to change a bit.

Yes all the Chevy's came with wood structures for the sheetmetal in the cab that most likely why they never lasted like the Fords of that time.

So the truck came with Dual rear shocks.... um not so kool but we did a little work to make the best of what we had. heres the start.

Nope only one shock per side.
Nice work on the frame detail. I really like how well that cross member finished up.:cheers:

Good looking truck, this is my uncles 36 low cab. Mustang II front leaf spring rear, 420 HP crate engine. I always liked the body style.

So as you can see the entire inside of the cab is structured with wood. One of the main reasons you dont see very many 30's chevy pickups and cars. So our first step was to replace all the wood with sheetmetal and replace all the rust also. Here the start of the left and right side of the floor structure.
We built it out of 16G cold roll sheet. Bent an angle then caped it and stiched in angels top and bottom to add strenght.
