Hey Guys... I am new to the forum so sorry if I am posting a topic that has been covered. I have a 77 nova and have yet to see anyone mini tub one with 315-335 tires. I was wondering if anyone had pics or seen this done. I am considering some 18" Rushforth Livewires. Wondering what it looks like with some meat out back before i commit all the time and cash. Thanks :)

That is going to be hard.
But i know that a 335 on a 68-74 can be done with DSE tubs pushed in 3" not 2 3/4 like DSE tells you to, and a little pull on the 1/4's.
Nice! Thanks for wanting to run our wheels on your Nova. My very first car was actually a 77 Nova that my parents bought brand new WAY before I turned 16 so I'm going to definitely be following this.
Don't worry, they'll look killer because I've never really seen anything that 18x12s didn't look killer on, it's just a matter of whether it's worth at least a few grand to you.
If you're on a budget, I would strongly consider some bolt-on suspension parts and some 18x8s and 9s or 10s for the time being so you can start enjoying it. Those cars actually have a really good suspension design from the factory, so a bunch of bolt-on parts will really make that car rock without breaking the bank but if you have a stack saved up and some fab skills, dive in head-first and start a build thread so we can follow along.

That’s good to know because the DSE kit should fit the 4th gen. If I remember the website says max of a 315 on a 3rd gen nova. I am wondering if the frame is going to have to be notched. I know some people are pry thinking why a 4th Gen? 3 reasons... it was my first car, I don’t want to cut up my 71 and I really want a car that is different. God knows I love all the other body styles just as much as the next guy but I like the idea of having something different at the show. I want to build a car that looks cool /handles and that I can drive hard without stressing because I spent 100k to build.
It seems like the 4th Gen is a great candidate for this. They are easy to find, cheap and all the 2nd Gen Camaro parts fit. You think the aftermarket would see the potential. It only takes one pro builder to do a body style right to change people’s minds (DSE completely changed my thoughts on the 70-79 Camaro). I think the X-body would look good with DSE touch but I can’t find anyone that has done one.
Thanks for the tip :D

Jason,
Thanks for your interest in my project and I agree with you that anything with 18x12s out back looks sick. I plan on doing a four link out back and some all black livewires. I have seen so many cool builds with those wheels. I have to have them...;o)
I am getting married in June so my time is limited now so I have to wait till after the honeymoon to tear into it so I am told! Lucky for me she deals with my unhealthy obsession with cars...lol
Happy New Year!
