Help? I could have posted this in a few different areas, hope nobody minds it being here.

I have a street rod and custom car background. This project is the first 60's or 70's era car I have ever built. Street rodders tend to paint the metal dashes body color. On most "muscle cars" they tend to be black. I don't know if I really want the dash black or grey.

Has anyone here painted their dash body color? Can you post up pictures?

Thank......
Glenn

some guys paint match, and others paint it semi gloss black. Check out the project update section and look at some builds.

Not a late model.......But......I matched the dash to the Interior color (sort of).....No Metalic and we flattened the clear to give it a Satin look..

I prefer to go simi-gloss black on the interior...it gives it a nice muscle car feel and keeps it neutral for exterior colors...both now and later.

I painted my dash body color (Viper Red) and did a black carpet and console with white seats. My profile should have a link to all the build pictures.

the dash pad will be wrapped in leather and a stereo gps head unit will be put in center of dash.i may also get some brushed aluminum to spice it up a touch.
