I am copying and pasting Bill Howell's thread over at PT.com. David needs our help and get a chance at a free set of wheels in the process. Here is the link as well http://www.pro-touring.com/showthread.php?75598-Donate-to-a-great-cause-and-you-could-win-too!

Donate to a great cause and you could win too!
As most of the regulars here know by now, one of our long time members and friends, David Sloan, has cancer and is currently going through a rigid regiment of treatment. David, has been hit with some pretty serious medical bills and several of us feel we should do something, other than spend money on our cars to show we are more than just gearheads. David, for those that don't know was the guy that painted IIMuch for John Parsons, the poster child for value of Protouring. David has also been the guy behind the scenes, spending his own money to be sure PSMC (Ga. event) happens every year.

Driverz Inc, a sponsor here on the forum has generously donated a set wheels, from their NewGen series, for us to use as a fund raiser.
SO, how can you help? and possibly get a brand new set of wheels for your hotrod in return? Really simple. We are selling tee shirts for $100 each. They are being designed as I type this and will be a cool shirt to remind you about David and the fact that you helped out a friend in need. Of course, with the purchase of the shirt, you will get a ticket also. The stub of that ticket will go in a hat. Remember, since they are donating the cost of the wheels to this great cause, David and his family will get almost all of the money you donate. The only expense is the cost of the shirts, mailing and PayPal fees.

At RTTCII, in February Driverz Inc will pull the winning ticket and that person will be picking out their new wheels. You don't have to be present to win, so not only those going to RTTC can participate but also anyone that is a member here can enter also. I would love to sell 100 tickets to this, but if the response is greater, that is wonderful too. While yes, there is a prize, this is more about helping David and his family in these tough times. The only obligation you will have is being sure Driverz gets a good before and after photo of your car, especially a nice shot of it with their new wheels. They will work with you on the specifics but know your car will be used in their regular advertisement, another plus if you win.

I am sure Jon and/or Justin will chime in here to tell more about the wheels, but I wanted to post this as soon as possible so we could send some Christmas cheer to David. As soon as we get the Tee Shirt design done and some printed, we will be mailing them out. That may take three weeks, but be assured, they will go out with ticket attached.

There are other events coming up over the coarse of the year guys, and certainly David will have more expenses, so if there are other companies that want to help out, pm myself or Jeff Tate and we will set up other programs.

Members, do what you can here and anything will be appreciated. If you can't swing the $100, we accept smaller donations also.
There is a link at the bottom of the page for a paypal address. Just remove the (at) and replace with @ and you will have the correct address.
In the instructions box on your paypal, simply put David Sloan donation and shirt size.
Remember, everyone at least gets a shirt, so everyone wins!

Thanks so much guys!

Paypal addy:

jtate(AT)bellsouth.net <----don't forget to change the (at) to @

If you need to use a credit card, PM me for instructions!

For those that prefer mailing a check or money order, make it out to David Sloan, but mail it to:
Jeff Tate
47 Lazy Water Drive
Cartersville , Georgia 30120

Jeff will see you get your shirt and ticket!

Mike,
Thanks for posting this here. I've been meaning to do it for a week now! It's a great cause guys, and we are just thankful that we can help. And for a simple donation, you could win a set of very nice 3piece wheels, and really help a friend in need.

Thanks Scott. The response has been overwhelming for this cause. David has contacted Jeff and told him that he is on the mend and this may be the only fund raiser we need to do for him. I do have a list of other sponsors, both here and PT that are willing and ready to donate parts and services. I am proud to be part of these communities. I will put you down if we need further help.
Just FYI, we have raised $8900 so far on this Wheel Give a way toward our goal of 10K.

Thanks to everyone that has helped out, and good luck with the drawing. We look forward to this at RTTC, which will be here before we know it.
