Either way Thanks guys.

Rodger was approached while at the Scotdale Goodguys Show by furniture-craving fans. This all happened during one of the two authorized autograph sessions (there we a few unauthorized sessions).

Rodger came up with these designs based on the inputs of his customers, as well as his own awesome design ability.

The problem is, Eric has to drive to Bakersfield to be able to witness my High Speed stick figure mid air finger sketches. Then he takes home the stick figure I drew in mid air with my high speed speech to describe what I wanted and completely reworks everything to make it actually work.

Then gives me all the credit. :D

I have only posted this on here and my facebook, So my Lat-g Brothers are pulling through.

And really is an El Camino a car or a truck? I think each vote for an Elco should only count as Half. I mean come on, it has a lengthened A body Chassis under it.

Plus I think a Vote from James Shipka and Charlie Lillard should could for more then one. I mean come on that is star power right there being used for a good cause at Christmas time.

I agree with you Todd. Rodger's truck has clearly been established as one of the finest of the last couple years. I don't really think this poll is about meaning something. At least to me. I don't want to speak for Rodger. This to me was more about figuring out how the guy was getting so many votes so quickly. I succeeded in that, so I am satisfied. Now if others would like to use this information to see if we can push to the top so be it. It is satisfying to know you have the information needed to win knowing that the poll essentially means nothing at this point since we know the other guy cheated to get there. shrug ;)

monza

Right or wrong I don't know but if you don't cheat the internet 'vote' you'll never win. So get cheating, which is not really cheating it's winning.

I agree 100%. I could really care less about the actual award. I wanted to piss off the editors at Truckin. They ran my truck in a 12 part build series called how to Build a Cover Truck and then when it was all done decided to not run my truck on the cover. And lie to me about it. The real getter is that I was offered the cover, the table of contents and an 8 page feature in Truckin's biggest competitor if I bailed on Truckin, I turned it down to do the right thing and then they did what they did. Aren't magazine editors great...........:_paranoid :_paranoid

I think it is so funny that the votes for the elco climbed like 300 per hour earlier today for about 2 hours, and then it comes to a grinding halt of 1 every 2 hours after that. This morning it went pretty quickly across face book and my boys here on Lat-g have been hooking a brother up pretty good. And Yes I have voted a few times a day just to see what happens, but some poor guy with his pretty orange oil pan draggin on the ground in Las Vegas gets up everyday after working and alnight security job and racks up the votes for his Chevelle with a bed floor. And another fact that guy lives in Vegas and my truck has gotten more prizes in his front yard then I have ever laid my eyes on that car/truck before this vote came out.

HAHA I'm not really as arrogant as this rant sounds.

One more thing, could imagine if that kid woke up tomorrow and my vote tally was one million..... Hackers unite, man that would be funny. There is not way one million people would vote for a farm truck with no bed floor.

Thanks for the support guys.

Sorry guys but this is just stupid plain and simple. I know it is just a dumb contest but you are doing this for a reason not just to clown around.

I take one look at this and think if you will do this what else would you do as a business man?? Business is about character and you really aren't looking to good right now. Go ahead and bash me to get in good with the site favorite. I know if you vote 20x's maybe just maybe you will get a reply from Ironworks and be part of the in crowd.

Big names going along with this nonsense. What a bunch of sore losers. So all you guys ready to drop $300k and up on a car this is the place you want to do business with??? Maybe your truck didn't deserve anymore press??? Just maybe there were others that fit their criteria??

I had one of my cars shot by a big name on here. he made me drive 4hrs and sleep inside my car overnight for a photo shoot. I then rec'vd an email stating they were usining a different car. I simply said thanks for thinking of me and keep me in mind for future issues.

I don't usually read replies so you will be wasting your time with the 20 pages of what a great man Ironworks is just because you like his metal work.

Dear Dr Phil.

I'm not really sure what voting in an online contest has to do with anyone's character. Plus I'm not really sure who's character your questioning ( Mine or the people on this site that may have voted ). It really is just a dumb contest that really proves nothing. Plus I doubt and hope not too many people sat at their computer and voted for me for hours on end. If they did Thanks, but there has to be something better to do that just waste hours of your life voting for some black truck with no bed floor. You must have to rake leaves or shovel snow or fill sand bags if you live in Cali. In reality Truckin Mag was the wrong magazine for me to get hooked up with in the beginning.

So from the post can you tell my political agenda or my Liberal slant? I really doubt anybody voted or posted in this thread to get into any crowd. This is a pretty tight knit community and we all have a good time. It is about the people and the bad ass car found on here are 2nd. I posted this vote on this site and my Facebook only. Because these are my boys and I knew I did not need to or care if I posted it anywhere else.

Please don't tell me to grow up, Shoes and pants are hard enough to find. Greg already thinks I'm a 265lbs Giant.

Do does this mean you did not vote in the sweater contest?

Dear Brian

Please tell your buddy Travis "Hi" for us all and Merry Xmas.

If your sweet van doesn't end up in a US magazine, please let us all know as we can probably put you in contact with a European magazine that loves vans. I'm sure there's a market for a unibody van with a bed on it, same as there's a market for Chevelle's with beds graphed onto the back of them just the same.

Also be sure to thank all his followers. We found their postings on their related forums as well.

 I don't care who you are, that's funny!

Look Brian, it's like this as Rodger said this is a tight community. We are here to support each other. Whether it is with a build issue, a career choice, what to buy the wife for Christmas, whatever. If it means helping a brother have fun with an online contest that is obviously flawed, we will do it. No, I am not spending hours voting and voting. I figured out how this guy with the elco was amassing so many votes so quickly and put that out for other people to use if they wish. Every time I get online, I spent a couple minutes voting. You can put 10-15 in in about 3 minutes! If anything, it will show the magazine that they need to come up with a different script for doing this type of thing. I mean really, the first 2 places have almost 2000 votes each and third has 200. If you want to understand what's going on here, get off your high horse and participate in the community as it was intended. That is all you have to do to get in with the site favorite. Anyway, Rodger is only in the top 5 favorites. You have to remember folks like Todd, Greg, Doug, Kenny, etc...... Come to think of it, we should start a poll to decide who the site favorite is. Now that's grown up! :lateral:

Maybe when you're ready to play nice we will show you the secret handshake!

Also, Websters dictionary should use this post as an example for one of their words....

Dear Dr Phil.

Does this mean you did not vote in the sweater contest?

You're right. Cars are second, people are first. I didn't have to fill sandbags in Socal yesterday so I spent the afternoon voting for the truck in the hopes that you might think I was as cool as Doug, and now you're basically telling me it doesn't matter...Ugh.

I stand by what I said it is losing and even more losing that some of you posted again and again. Anybody who knows me knows I couldn't give a flying **** what anybody thinks I say what I want.

I find this stuff funny so go on it means nothing but wow the 5 guys who keep replying the others kind of understand what I am saying. Life is too short to get angry so go on with the bashing some of it is funny.

Did somebody actually say that since they were a customer they were personally insulted? Are you serious? This is a car we are talking about.

The poem was funny although creepy knowing that someone I have never met put that much time into it.

If it makes anybody feel better I voted also. I guess it woul dbe easy to find you guys at a car show I will just look for Rodger and then the 10 guys standing behind him starring at his every move.

If you don't care - then go on some board where you can just not want to get along with anyone and you don't care - because on this board - WE do care.

HAY Brian, Welcome back, I owe you the world, ever since your post, Things have really taken off for me. Well obviously you know we won the truck of the year award (Not the car, Just to be clear). But after that, The Queen, yes the Queen of England called me to ask me to work on her car, Then Obama called and wanted me to do something to out do the Queen. Then Jesus called and asked me to work on his old hot rod. I tell with out your help I would just be standing around at carshows with 10 creepy guys just waiting for me to drop a small piece of my greatness. Well now those 10 people have turned in to a 100. And now TMZ follows me daily, Every morning they are hiding in my bushes. Then get this Paris Hilton called me a told me to get back work, cuz I'm taking her spotlight. She called me nasty words and it was very embarassing, even her little ass dog bit me. Then I was asked to give out an award at some dumb ass TV awards show. Are you kidding me I just WON, a truck of the year (Not a car) award. I tried and tried to tell them I have no character. But they did not care. They say I'm the next big thing. And hay check this out, My poop no longer stinks. And I learned how to put my pants on both legs at the same time.

WOW? Ok somebody just told me that I was the most popular person on Lateral G. It took a while to find it and I can't stop laughing.

I am not sure if it is because the same guys have so much free time or Rodger shouldn't ever drop anything in front of them. I would wager that 90% have never even met yet you want to be part of the in crowd. OH PLEASE CAN I SIT NEXT TO YOU AT LUNCH? Come on you guys are grown men right? You may sit at the head of the table for lunch if you would like, But are you making another height joke?

I stand by what I said it is losing and even more losing that some of you posted again and again. Anybody who knows me knows I couldn't give a flying **** what anybody thinks I say what I want. This paragraph would make alot more sense with a small tool called a comma. and what exactly is ****. Is that Japanese?

I find this stuff funny so go on it means nothing but wow the 5 guys who keep replying the others kind of understand what I am saying. Life is too short to get angry so go on with the bashing some of it is funny.

Did somebody actually say that since they were a customer they were personally insulted? Are you serious? This is a car we are talking about.

The poem was funny although creepy knowing that someone I have never met put that much time into it. Apparently you have never met Greg. I have.... In person like 3 or 4 times, along with Charlie, James, Anthony, Tyler, Chad, Dave, John, Clint, Mark, Todd, Jay, Jay, Jay, and the totally used to be famous........(these are drum beats, not commas)..........DOUG RRRRRENNER

If it makes anybody feel better I voted also. I guess it would be easy to find you guys at a car show I will just look for Rodger and then the 10 guys standing behind him starring at his every move.Is this another height joke, I'm getting sick of these.

Rodger, nice truck can we call the Mousekateers off now?

I have an autographed hat on the way your house, I'm just guessing but I'm sure it is size large.
Thanks again.

Grow up!!!

You mad? I'm 19, and I'm gonna tell you to grow up, how bad is that?

You're not popular in the site, you're just plain stupid in one thread, congratulations, you managed to be stupid on the internet... And before writing anything, research, this guys are a community I'd be more than pleased to be a part of it someday (yeah, I'm saying I don't know them in any way apart form the web, but I'd love to be able to get to know them), they have worked with each other in several projects, and the way they can work together amazes me, get out of here Brian, run for president, build another car, I don't know, but don't try to sound smart by bashing on the guys that live of this, I don't see anyone telling you your job is overrated and your work is bad or stupid... At least this guys live for something.

Rodger, that reply made cracked me up, how much for a box of your leftover greatness? I need some.

SRodger, congratulations, I knew C6-57 was gonna kick some re-shaped-metal-asses...

Seems obvious to me that i'm out of this "In" crowd, despite all of the former press, magazine articles, women, wine, song, dance, Steve Rupp, and highlites to my hair. I knew I was never good enough to be considered "In" in the first place. I never really liked having Greg stand in my shadow, or standing downwind from Rodger anyways, so I'll just go back to livin in my van down by the river.
