Just an update. All that is left is to drill holes for spoiler and emblems...then it is ready for a scuff and shoot.
I'm pumped for you, Payton. You're getting close!

Hey Payton,
Once the paint is layed down, you'll be on the down hill slide. Assembly is always the fun part (well when it goes together like it's suppose to anyway)
Yellow looks good on there.

Thanks for all of the kind words. 4 years is way too long to work on any project. I am up to 585 hours in metal work alone and the clock is still ticking...not counting my time. Much bigger project than I planned when I started. You know how it goes, I am already here might as well do this or that.
I am happy with the color...viper yellow. Looks great in the sun
Nothing like building a brand new 69 camaro with NOS sheetmetal with a few custom touches.

Payton, the car looks sweet! I was at your stage not too long ago. And don't worry, 4 years is quick compared to mine. I'm just about to hit year # 7

I'm at the same stage myself with my GTO. Are you painting this in the garage? If so, I sometimes think you actually get a better paint job. Because you have no air system or downforce to remove the dirty air you have to spend a lot more time sanding and buffing. More TLC. Looking forward to see it in paint.

I took it to the guy that is doing my metal work's house so he could finish faster. You don't mind working a hour at a time if all you have to do is walk out of the house.
He shot the firewall, under the car and frame in the garage. I am rolling it to the paint shop this week. I will post pics later.

Love the color. I have painted no less than three cars/trucks in a bright yellow color. Only one of them was mine.
Anyway   on the project and keep us posted.
