Not sure if Im breaking any rules here, just wanted some feedback on this pedal design?

I would think rod type throttles would be much more difficult to set up and install vs cable types.

Jody,

I understand what you mean, these are designed to fit stock locations and are adjustable. Im not sure what the ratio is, but I do know road racers and drag racers a like sometimes go with the rod style rather then the cable.

I like both, and feel they both have their place, rather it be for looks or function...one or the other could enhance or hinder the type of build or look your going for.

Thank you for the comments though, not really getting too much feedback on at PT.com yet. and thats ok.

I'd like to see an adjustable pedal to rod height. I'm getting ready to mod my stock pedal for heel/toe.

Todd,

Rod height? Are you refering to from the floor board up?

These have that adjustment....if there ends up being a desire for these, we me add the toe bar as an option...goes over the toe.

Do appreciate your input for sure....we have more goodies to introduce...but will need to wait until after Thankgiving.

I have one on my car and I love it....! Piece of cake to install and adjust. I am really glad this piece was available. Has tons of adjustment and installed in only a few minutes.

I would prefer a rod over a cable. I currently have a cable and am fighting trying to get smooth acceleration. I have trouble with the cable sticking as well.

I'm referring to an adjustable pedal that would allow fine tuning for heel toe. Bring the pedal closer to the brake pedal while still using the floor as the throttle stop.

Todd,

great point, thats the kind of response we are looking for. we took your comment to disscussion, and we figure...it already has the vertical adjustment, do you think a 2.5 lateral adjustment would be enough for most applications?

We also have the clutch and break pedals that install in stock location as well to match....Ill try to post a picture.

That should probably work. I think the biggest problem with a stock/Lokar gas pedal has been the distance of the pedals to the firewall, where the gas pedal sits 2" further away from the driver. When trying to heel-toe a driver could roll his foot to the right and still never blip the throttle.

It is nice to see someone is concerned with this.

Matt,

huge input right there, everyone is different as far as when it comes to how or what they do with their rides. For the guy who like to autocross/road race your point is a big issue. The Lokar pedal does throw everything off a bit, due to the backspace issue, comfort and function are compromised a bit.

I think we are leaning towards offering 2 different offsets, the lower portion of the pedal. Its easy enough to do as the design sits now, but if we to try and make it fully adjustable laterally, it would need to re-engineered.

Thanks for your input Matt

If anyone get a chance,

if you have a gas pedal located in the stock location and would like it closer to the brake and lower to floor, post up some measurments.

This may narrow down the 2 different offsets sizes we would make.

The floor to the pedal isnt an issue, due to the adjustablility, but it would be interesting to find out where some of you would like it.

Well,
I wanted to post a group purchase option on these pedals, and more new parts to come....where is the best thread to do this in?...or do I even have permission to do this yet.

Our website is just about done, and Im getting antseee to show you some other things.
