Bill announced this at the Po-Touring dinner in Vegas and we have started to put some details around it this past week.
This will be held at the Nashville Super Speedway on Memorial Weekend May 27, 28 and 29. The format will be much like the RTTH and RTTC events with the main goal being maximum track time.
This is the weekend after Nashville GG so those attending (Both Vendor and non-Vendor) can leave cars and rigs in town and fly back in for the event.
The road course portion will be ran on the big track which uses the front and back straights as part of the course. The front straight is very fast as you can enter the front straight at the exit of turn 4 at 90 mph and hit over 140 before getting on the binders at the start of turn 1. We plan to split out into 3 different groups so that everyone can run with cars at the same skill level. This will be open track time with wave by passing so should get all you can stand at WOT.
The autocross will be in the parking lot just outside the big track where the SCCA runs events throughout the year. We can have at least 2 cars on the course at a time so should allow for plenty of laps.
For the speed stop we plan to use pit road which they used to have Friday night drag racing on it so is plenty long.
We will be putting more details together soon (Like a good event name) so keep checking back.........
This should be a relaxing and fun weekend so mark your calendars now and plan on coming out.

Cool!! That would be the closest event for me, by far. Hopefully the '67 will be completely finished by then. Maybe you and Mark can help me set the car up and work the bugs out.

Every entrant will need to consume at least 6 of them the night before to keep things equal:cheers:

Things are progressing, We have the local SCCA scheduled to run the Auto-x for us so we dont even have to worry about picking up cones. I posted up the Host Hotel info over on PT.com and we have the Greening's lined up to host the dinner and hangout on Friday night at their new shop.
Reg should open up soon

We have hotel reservations, so hopefully we will be there!
What is the layout and surroundings of the road course? I ask because I am a beginner and wadding my car into something totally scares the crap out of me! Not to mention, I don't have a cage!! I really liked Putnam Park layout because it was very open and you would have to try really hard to hit something......(good for beginners)
Man, I REALLY need a cage!! LOL:(

Jimmy and I have been trying to get someone that has run at Nashville before to chime in here. Does the road course include part of the Nascar track or just the infield areas? How much run off room is there on the corners before you encounter a stationary object, like a wall? I know that Putnam had plenty of room on all corners but one making it very nice for those without a lot of experience.

The road course uses two thirds of the front straight and dives down over the
apron before turn #1. The transition is best hit on an angle. The old pit wall
has been removed so there is plenty of room as you hit the infield course.
Basically a sweeper that tightens up leading to a chute and a tight right. That
leads up to the back straight. Short run and turn in before the Nascar turn #3.
nice little infield bit that leads to the front straight. I have run there several times.
Plenty of room for muscle cars.
The guys that run the SCCA all drive Vettes so the auto-X course will be
wide open and fasst.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he could drive the event. He just wouldn't qualify for points to win anything. Still would be fun, and you would still have times to compare to others.
