Does anyone know where I can get the upright support panel that goes between the quarter and inner rear structure in the door jamb area? As far as I can tell, these don't come with new quarters and I hacked one removing a quarter. ANy help would be much appreciated.

Yes i have felt your pain. I have looked far and wide and nobody makes it. I did find a wrecking yard for 1st Gen camaro's called (David T's). They are in Alberta Canada and are very helpful. They cut one out of an old camaro and shipped it to me. Their number is 780-454-3330. You can Google them also and look at all the camaro's they have rotting in the snow :) Anways hope that helps. Take care

Thanks Jeremy. I just shot them a note requesting the part. I'm already thinking about my next project - they've got quite the inventory!

Stefan, I think he is looking for the inner brace that the door striker threads into. It's not part of the factory style quarters, is it?

Correct. I believe it is called a door lock pillar reinforcement panel.

Aghh...OK, I just don't see how can you damage that when removing the skin, did you use a jackhammer?lol

Well i took mine out with a jack hammer and when i got the quarter panel off i accidentally threw it away with the bad quarter before i removed it. They make every replacement piece for these cars but that, they also rott on the bottom pretty bad. Well my car was horrible when i got it.

Anyways Glad I could help!! It worked for me and they sent me another. Happy building!

Thanks! I'll let you know. I'm hoping this is pretty easy as I have the quarters waiting on that piece!

You know Dynacorn must make or buy that piece for their shells. I think I'm goin to contact them as well. Someone must be making them!

From a Firebird, should be the same part: http://www.frankspontiacparts.com/usedparts/firebirdtransam.htm It looks like it includes the inner structure.

Awesome. Thanks Ron! I'm going to check to see if it fits while checking with Dynacorn. 68 and 69 have different quarters but I think you're right, this part should fit.

Ok, I think I found it. Dynacorn part number M1024A is a pillar post reinforcement pair for a 67-69 camaro / firebird. Unfortunately, I haven't found a single picture of this part. I emailed them to see.

Any Dynacorn dealers here who can help???

I could be wrong, but that sounds like the a-pillar support between the windshield opening and driprail...
