Hi I have a 1967 camaro I am wanting to install a Lq9 in and I dont have a clue as to where to start. I dont know about frame mounts ecu flashing or the harness(keep the old lq9 and mod or get a new one) or the type of relocation(of bolt-ons such as powersteering or oil pan) or different configuration that will be needed to fit within the 67 Camaro any help would be great.

Not sure if you are working on a budget: here is some information to get you started, and a lot of what I am listing is more budget type parts. You will probably get 500 different types of answers from various lsx swaps.
harness and ecm tune: http://chevythunder.com/
Accessories: F-body or Corvette will clear. LQ9 accessories work, but some require notching hood due to alternator.
Motor mounts and headers: dougs mounts and headers, hooker mounts and headers, brp has a nice set of brackets and headers.
Are you going to swap to the LS1,LS6 intake?
Oil pan: modify an F-body pan and p/u, or buy a swap pan and p/u.
If using the LS1 intake: Fuel Line Fittings:$101.63 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AER-FCN0615/ (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AER-FCN0615/)Fuel line$0 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-640853/ (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-640853/)Fitting$0 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FRA-209006-BL/ (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FRA-209006-BL/)Fitting$0 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FRA-200106-BL/ (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FRA-200106-BL/)Fitting$0 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FRA-483206-BL/ (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FRA-483206-BL/)Fitting$0
Fuel tank: if you are not going to mini tub-spectra tank. Otherwise Ricks, rock valley tanks.
Fuel filter regulator from a C5 vette:
Lokar throttle cable and pedal or modify 6 cylinder 69 camaro pedal.
Trans mount: what type of trans? brp, ats, street and performance....quite a few to choose from.
Powersteering: have a local shop build your lines depending on what pwr steering set-up you go with.

Been there- PM me with any questions-

Front Accessory drive- change to car style- Pace performace sells GM units

Oil Pan- Autokraft- look to the left- Kurt is a sponsor here

PCM - I used Wait4meperformance

headers- Stainless works makes a nice header

there are lots of harness companies out there - I use PSI

C-5 corvette regulator with a tank from Ricks, DSE or MuscleRodz

car intake like an LS2 or LS6

These are a few things to think about- good luck

oh spend money on a good radiator.

A good cam swap and a computer reflash makes for a VERY FUN LQ9 :unibrow: - Chris

hey man, im local. (Peoria) and have done quite a bit of work on LSx engines/swaps into older cars like my buddy Mitchs 68 Firebird and currently my dads 80 Z28. Let me know if you want to hook up sometime and maybe i can give you some pointers.

here is my current LSx build/restoration;

70Two Nova,

You mentioned that you did a LQ9 swap into a 68 firebird. I was wondering what radiator nhoses you used for upper and lower. I am at that point with my swap.

thanks,
