Chad, Are you sure its not the 375hp 396? In 67' I am pretty sure the 425hp version was a 427. As far as I know the only 425hp 396 was built in 1965.

Either way it would have been more valuable left in STOCK condition. IMHO

Are the first 3 numbers of VIN 136?

Yeah your right its a 375 hp motor. Stock sucks lol. Had to mod it some just not in me to leave stuff alone. Its a extremely nice car I need to move before I add everything DSE makes

WE are getting the car ready to run across the Auction block at the Mecum auction January 25th-30th. Car is scheduled for 8:15 PM SAturday night in a FEature primetime spot. Doing some simple stuff like cleaning, painting, detailing little pieces etc. Also did some big changes did a complete overhaul on the looks of the motor. Removed the stamped steel valve covers and such, and replaced them with a set of cast aluminum covers that I spent almost 100 hours on hand polishing them, also replaced the air cleaner with a Billet piece. Also hooked up with Frank at Prodigy for a MArch Serpentine setup and Vintage Air unit. I can't even describe how much better it looks.

Also doing a few other things. I sold the 17's currently on it to Bill Howell so I will post pictures later today of the 19" Boze Forged Speedsters in a 19x8 ans 19x10. Did them with Polished hoops, and brushed centers with a polished line in the spoke. Also replaced the front 12" single piston brakes with 355 Z06 rotors with the 6 piston Z06 Calipers from KORE3.

heres the motor before the changes

Great stuff Chad.

Good luck at Mecum. I will have to tune in for sure!

How does the pricing on the Boze wheel compare to Forgelines? I would think they are similar just curious though.

Thanks!

Chris

I'm honestly a little scared of Mecum. I'm running a reserve, but my car got scheduled late in the night on Saturday and theres something like 27 red 66/67 Chevelles in the auction. I think mine is the nicest by far, but if theres deals on the others I think I'm gonna strike out. We will see next saturday.

I own both Boze and Forgeline and would buy either of the two again. The Boze are more affordable than forgelines for sure.

Thanks Chad,

I may have to look Boze up when I get to to that point. I really like the Forgeline S03 wheels but Boze has a couple that are similar.

Good luck again. Any idea when the show will air?

yeah me too!!

I want actually get to watch the car run in person. I have to be in Vegas for my day job , so I'm leaving the auction on Friday night and driving home to catch a early Saturday AM flight out to Vegas. Will get there in time to watch love on the net on Mecums site as it rolls across. Wish I could be there, but when your speaking to 300 people Sunday Morning at 8AM its kind of hard
