On the weekends I find time to get some car work done and a couple weeks ago I had invited Dave/ Flash68 and Jason/ torino420 to come by my shop here in Livermore. We did a muffler swap on Dave's Camaro and just hung out and talked cars. I really like the people/members on the PT forums (LG.com & PT.com) and wanted to talk about a possible date in Nov. when we can have another "car" fun day. My building is off the main streets so we really don't get in anyones way with these cars. My car is still in many pieces and if it's something that members just drive their cars out to hang out while I work on my car or if someone has something small that they have been wanting to get done and don't have the tools to do a job I have a open lift and a shop full of tools and almost everything we would need to do a small fix or job if you want to get your hands dirty. I am pretty easy and if you heart yourself we just cut you up and dump you in the dumpster because I am not looking for anyone to have to signing paper work crap:rolleyes: , no but really I just like to have fun and these cars are a great way to bring people together.

Nothing official, just simple low key hanging out. I am thinking like a Sunday in Nov. depending on the weather, SEMA is the first week of Nov. and I am not going to be able to do much before that but after I am open.

Any locals like the idea?

Well damn.... I am happy to see we have some locals liking this idea. Doing a BBQ is not a bad idea at all. I know we have some guys that will be driving possibly a hour to get here so doing a day meet will be great, I am a early bird and would start working early on my own car and then be able to relax alittle and hang out. Maybe do a day where its open to the full day on a Sun. Really think this is awesome.

I just have SEMA on my hands right now that I have to get past and I am open. I know the GG show is coming and it would be a great idea to do it after but I know how those shows go and everyone is burned out by the end of the day so I don't feel it would be the best idea to make it after a show. Great idea because it gives a reason for everyone to already be out this way.

I really want it to be easy as in even if your car is not even finish but you want a reason with no standards you have to live up to for you to hang out, need to fix something or want to play with the car and etc....


I am thinking Nov. 20th or 21st this is the week after Good Guys. I will have to see if this is going to work, I will have a answer by the week of the 25th. Just letting everyone know what I am thinking.

I've told some other local car guys and it looks like this may alittle bigger than I would have thought so the week of the 8th we will start taking a tally of who is coming and maybe get BBQ going and drinks. I more than likely will not get to touch my car till then and my buddy in Tracy is taking about having his frame off 67' Chevelle at the shop also and you guys can see how his car is coming along. He bought a basket case 67' and I bought my 70' driver and we are pretty much doing all the same stuff but coming from opposite ends of the builds. It been working out great because all the stuff we are learning on each side is helping us not make mistakes of over laping stuff to have to go backward. His frame is already trussed up and welded so it will be a pretty cool site in his stage of the build.

All I know is some of you guys will have to be giving out rides!!!!!!!

Lets shoot for Nov. 21st Sun., I am going to plan on being to the shop early 6-7am to work on my car and figure on having it open for people to hang out till 4-5pm. Lets start a list of who can make it so we can see if a BBQ should be worked into this, maybe burgers and hot dogs and drinks.

Again just a fun day to meet each other and talk cars and play with them. No standards so if your car is half built and you can drive it, drive it out...no car at the time, drive out with someone else or drive out in what ever.

We watched it a couple times this past week while I was down there and at SEMA and it looked so fun, and it's gonna be even better next time.

Dave...THANK You for helping out on this. I got really busy before leaving for SEMA and have been playing catch up being back at work after SEMA. So good news is it looks like we have a great start to a really fun day.....

BAD NEWS, not really to bad....BUT my wife informed me of something we both over looked picking this date....we have family tickets to take our 3 kids to Yo Gabba Gabba...:faint: we both forgot as she bought the tickets about 3 months ago.

OK, so family is first on my side as my kids are still young and dad's a work aholic as it is. Can we bump a day ahead to Sat. the 20th and still not make a big issue for everyone> I am really sorry I found out today. On my side I had a hand full of local friends going to be at a local event also happening so Sat. 20th works out better for more local friends of mine.

I am so sorry guys.....I already brought a BBQ down to the shop and we are setting up another lift tomorrow so I can get my car up in the air and my buddy is bringing down his 67' Chevelle to work on it as he is in the middle of a frame off and at the point he needs to do some fab work to the frame and has to check the body off and on his car so he is going to be in the other stall/lift.

One thing if I could ask as we are not youngsters BUT still, this is my business building where we work on our cars so please remember I have people around me so please pick up after yourself and keep the hot dogging to the street away from people and there cars to be courteous to all the hard work and money we all have put into our cars and SAFETY 1st!!! I already have had to dump a body this month so I have till next month till I am able again;) .

I am sure most everyone will not make it due to rain so yes we will push it back. I am not sure what I have going next weekend and that says rain also so maybe the first or second weekend in Dec will look better for a full bring your car out meet.


BUT as stated Jeriah / 67' Chevelle and I will be hanging out for most all day tomorrow working on our cars. I know a few of our friends local are going to come and hang out also so if any of the local guys want to stop by let me know. Jeriah has some fab work to be done on his chassis and checking wheel and tire fitment/stance. I have my front and rear suspension ready to be installed and hope to have the car on the ground to see how she looks. We both have plenty of work to do but no set dead lines for the day so what ever we get done and have fun hanging out I am happy.

Jeriah has a awesome build going with some killer metal fab tricks. I will let him talk about the little things he is doing for his own touch to his car. As you see there is a rear axle missing....Fab9 coil over rear set up will be coming really soon after he gets his wheels and tires and he takes his last axle spec's. The stance you see is what he will be going after in the end. :thumbsup:

He is running SPC uppers and SPC lowers with ATX spindles.

SPC upper/lower and ATX spindles....everything is only hand tight and still need all new steering tie rods and upper drop stops and fine tune on the ground. Our first coils ordered are not coming, I guess they are not selling them as fronts any longer so I need to figure out another coil spring to use and Jeriah went ahead and purchased another brand. I have the front Vari shocks but need the coils before I install them.


Over all just a good day of no dead lines and sitting back and hanging with friends and playing with the cars. Can't beat that:lateral:

So Kim from Matt's Classic emailed and said my Wilwoods are in:woot: I have a crap load of parts sitting here so really I just need to get dirty and find out what other little things I need.

So I know a few of you local guys have this track day and not too much interest in doing a big day on Sat. so I think I am going to come in really early Sat. around 6ish and work on my car till around 1-2pm. That should give me enough time to figure out what other little things I need to get the car drivable now that I have the brakes (well still need to pick them up from Matt's) Anyone that would like to have a reason to come over and drive there car feel free to stop by.

We will plan out a big day to hang out this next month now that the weather is looking nice in these parts.
