I did'nt want to hijack Matts thread with this question. Is there an overall SMOY winner or is there one at each event??? And how are these cars choosen? Do you have to submit a build in advance or is it choosen at the show? I could'nt come close to these builds would'nt even try! Just qurious on how the prosesse works..

This should answer most of your questions.

Every winner gets a really nice Snap On tool box with vinyl Print of their car on it. That would be a cool prize.

Also keep in mind that Street Machine and Street Rod of the Year is only picked and awarded at GoodGuys' Columbus show. There are some "of the Year" awards given at a particular event and then the others where nominees are chosen at various events with the winners announced this week and given at Scottsdale next month.

I know Matt and I were selected at events for Muscle Machine of the Year, Are there any other Lateral-g members up for the award? Who ever wins picks up a sweet snap-on toolbox!

Doug (DFRESH) won a nomination in Pleasonton, and Randy Johnson's second gen, (re-pealed?) got one too. I hope the award goes to someone in the community who we know loves to drive and beat on his car.

And Mario, I think you're confusing Muscle Machine of the Year with Street Machine of the Year, which went to the amazingly well crafted "Project Scar." We Muscle Machine folks each won a finalist spot at the various Good-Guys event that had an autocross. Who knows, maybe your car will be there one of these days. It's going to be wicked, that's for sure!
