Ok, this thread has a little story to go with it.
Story:
2 weeks ago, my father lost his job and has been in a funk ever since. He had been talking about this weekend's GoodGuys' show ever since it was announced, but he refused to buy tickets now that he's not working, so I sent my mom the money to by their tickets and to pay for anything else they might want to buy while there. My dad still has no idea what's going on, and won't until Sat morning.
Request:
Here's where I need some help from anyone going to the show. I'm not sure if there's going to be an autocross at this event, but if there is I'd like to arrange a ride-along for my dad. He's an old school street rod and muscle car guy, I don't think he's ever been within 200 miles of a pro-touring machine, so I really would love for him to experience how things have changed since he got away from building cars for fun. I know this can't change his everyday reality of having no job, but at least it can get his mind off of it for a day or so and put a smile on his face.
So there it is, my humble request for help from ANYONE going to the show with a pro-touring machine.
Thanks!
Jeff K.
