Thanks for asking Jody. We made rear gear change and some changes to the front suspension and we actually knocked 5 seconds off our previous lap times . Last time at Buttonwillow I ran 2:15's. This time I knocked down consistent 2:10 lap times on the last session of the day.

First off excellent looking ride; very simple and looks like it hauls the mail.
Second- Are you hauling ass in stock bucket seats? If so my hat is off to you for being able to drive that fast on such horrid seats!

Nah, I roll road race style, fixed back seats. She's got an aluminum PBM 427 small block putting out 618 at 6500 and 560 torq at 5000. Ran consistent low 2:10's at Buttonwillow 13CW configuration on R888's. Honestly think no one else on the west side is gonna see those times in a PT car.

have you ever compared your times to other cars at the track? you should be able to compare your times to reg american iron cars which run on r888, and are limited to 9.5lbs per hp which works out to be around 360 rwhp on a 3000lb car, i think there running down in the 2:02 to 2:05

Right now I'm targeting my times toward Z06 Vettes. We all know it comes down to driver but when I ran at 2:15 my previous track day at Buttonwillow before I ran 2:10's there was a Z06 that ran 2:05's on Hoosiers so I chose 2:10 as my target time.
The same day I ran my 2:10's there was a Z06 that was practicing and he ran SCCA T1 class and he ran 2:01's on Hoosiers so my new target time is around 2:06's on R888's.

Same thing I run for track tires, they looked huge in the pics. As you know track time, you have plenty of power, now its just cleaning up problem corners and running consistent. Not easy by all means.

in my blue 69, i used to run on r888 with 430 crank hp, i would run what american iron cars would run at all the tracks I ran at. 2:11 at watkins glen, 1:0- at lime rock etc.
my 2ng gen aix car is much faster.
rodger, cant wait to here your times.

Have you tried Iracing yet. My times at Watkins and lime rock are similar. It is definitely not real racing but it is great practice and entertainment.
I'm looking forward to running my car at Buttonwillow in Dec. 2:10 does not seem to be lightning fast for 13CW configuration. I remember low 2.0?? something in my mustang years ago.

Hmm.....2:02 to 2:05....thats pretty fast. I like the way the car is geared now so I'm thinking I have some shock tuning to do. I imagine a little more track time wont hurt either.

2:00 - 2:05 seem to be on the edge of the fast guys on the speed ventures page. granted we do not know what car these guys are driving for these times, but some of these guys in the 1:50 rang are on street tires.

1:50 on street tires, not to sure about that. Most the cars running the fast times are either vettes, porsches, miata's or the tuner cars. Smaller cars do very well at this track. Pretty sure the Speed Ventures page shows what car they are driving.

I said 1:50 range and there are a few guys on that list in the high 1.50 range on street tires, But just because it says what the car is does not mean you have any idea if it is track prepped or just stocker. It could say Honda civic and be a super light weight racer or a complete daily driver. Either I plan to run out there on street tires and see if my car will be able to get below 2:05. This is my favorite configuration, I have run it quite a few times.

LOL, do us both a favor and run R888's. That way you dont have an excuse for not hitting 2:10's.

i found that bmw spec e30's run 2:10 or faster at buttonwillow. I have not had a race this year, that I have not lapped them, and by them I mean the whole pack of them, as we race wheel to wheel mixed class.

In your '69 or '70? I looked into the AI times at Buttonwillow and they are running 2:02's and up so it looks like I have some things to do. The 2:10's I ran with a broken rear shock on the drivers side and I was getting loose on a couple turns but it still felt like I was moving pretty good. Not sure how I'm going to make up 8 seconds. Car feels right, handles well, i'm thinking I just need to get closer to the edge.

LMAO, I disagree. You guy's seem a little more agressive out there. I have been talking to a couple of guys here and we are considering paying you guys a visit. If budget allows.
You guys got Parrott, Stielow, the Tuckers, Finch, that Ron dude with the Stang. I'm sure I forgot a few.
One of these days I will see you out there and I'm hoping you still have your '69.
