How incredibly simple and pure every thing appears. In contrast to today's throw away society. I know it wasn't the utopia back then old timers remember but one can still dream.

it was nice to see the pictures from natchitoches, as i live here. the gas station is still there, but no longer in operation.

its really hard for me to see how things really looked back then with only seeing things in black and white. these pics make everything look real.
if only there were pics like this before the turn of the century.

I agree. The people look warn out! The picture I find myself studying a lot is the one with the school kids singing on stage. Most do not have shoes!
