Hey my name is Dave, I finally got the balls to sign up ,But have followed alot of the builds on here for awhile. Here is my piece of junk. A 70 challenger convertible. This car was shot from rust but I've always wanted a Convertible Challenger. I cut the convertible from the S line & used a hardtop car for the floors & rails from the S line down. I'm not as talented as allot of people on here ,but I can weld & paint and plan on making a nice car with input from everyone here! Please don't laugh, here are a few pictures of what I have so far including my engine of choice .

The Engine is a ex NASCAR Craftsman truck 48* lifter bore Siamese block with 50 mm roller cam tunnel. W9 heads & a 180* crank out of one of the 2001 24hrs of Le Mans lmp race cars. Plans include a set of turbos & C5 front suspension with a triangulated 4 link in the rear.

Sounds like a cool build. I'll be watching it come together.

Nice! That flat crank should make for a very interesting sounding Mopar!

It will be as streetable as the valvetrain will let it... Lol :_paranoid The car has not been on wheels for about 6 years so I threw some on it & rolled it outside for some sunshine..

It's coming along... my advice to you is unless you are well skilled buy a subframe from Scott Mock here on the board.. You will come out miles ahead.I have alot of time in my front end & steering arms. I was to buy the arms from scott but I could not swing the $275 as my wife lost her job so I made them also ($20 worth of cold rolled steel);)
