I finally broke down and created a Facebook page to go along with the Rod Run's website. Hopefully soon I will be linking them both together. If anyone is interested, feel free to send a friend request.

90% of it is useless, but its stupidly addicting. This sums it up for some people on there:

That's pretty funny! But isn't Twitter the more play-by-play site?

Ha!
I have my own Facebook page that I only use with friends that I actually talk to regularly, eventhough I don't go on there much. I'm not one of those people that "collect" friends online so I didn't need to have a lot of people on that page.
I did the Rod Run Facebook page because some of the people that have been on the run in the past, kept putting info about the run on Facebook and kept linking pics and videos from past years, trying to get me to start a page.
After thinking about it, I figured since the separate email addy for the Rod Run ended up being a good idea, then Facebook couldn't hurt. It will probably be easier to reach people with trip updates and direct them to the Rod Run's website and forum when new info is on there.
It's like the new crack, all the kids are doing it:willy:
