Agreed,you can always do something like these,I believe I purchased from the Mustang Ranch.
I just mocked mine up but never used them,I guess they'd be available if interested:

The V48 doesnt have attachment points though, just a push in plastic cap, Ill probably just go to the junkyard and find some that fit and paint them. Thanks anyway.

Will the American Racing old-school hex-nut push on chrome plastic for the 200S wheels fit?
Those can still be gotten,I just sold 2 nos sets recently.

Hum!! I was thinking about that John,I love my v48's but thuse center cap's are an eye sore. I like those AMr center caps. lets trade center whole measurements John. I'll get you my measurements asap.

I don't have those wheels anymore so I can't exactly measure for you.
I do know that the center cap dimensions have not changed since the 70's and that they are still available.
If I had my old caps I'd slap them on my V40's to see if they'd fit...:yes:
