Im looking to build a motor for my 85 mercury capri and im thinking about a 408 stroker twin turbo. Anybody have any thoughts or advise about this. Im getting mixed reviews about that motor, one person says its a terrible idea, the next person says its a great idea. Any advise would be good advise guys. Thanks for your help.

how much power are you looking to make... how much money do you have to spend? why not go with a windsor instead.. it will cost the same and make more power....
a 427 or 454 winsor and a 408 short deck will cost the same if you start out with an aftermarket block for the 408... and you might as well do, it will cost you 15-20 grand in parts before you are done building it anyway if you do it right... so why skimp on the block??
but your question is way to open to answer with a sensible answer

Best advice anyone can give you is to go over to the SBFTech forums. Nobody is going to steer you wrong over there.
Really can't offer much more insight than that.
