So I have a tricktools bender for cages, but have been looking to get something to do little brackets, and make front clips with for racecar stuff.

Trying to stay cheap, and I've had people reccomend conduit benders....anyone actually done this?

I'm about to start filling things with sand and grabbing a torch, but would much rather just have a bender.

me and my dad used a torch and conduit bender to build a quarter midget frame. worked good for us!

Trick Tools makes benders? I thought they just sold them. In any event, is there a reason you can't get the dies you need/want for your current bender? Most of the JD/Pro-Tools/JMR benders will go down to 1/2" diameter tubing and the smaller dies really don't cost much compared to the big ones. How small do you want to go?

For fluid type tubing (1/4" to 5/8"), you could use something like a hand held roller-die bender or a stationary unit like this (http://www.vansantent.com/hand_bender.htm). Conduit benders work but are limited in terms of bend radius selection. Depending on the wall thickness, you'll also tend to get more deformation of the tubing at the bend than you would with a die-follower type of setup.

Yeah, I meant the one they sell. I just call it the tricktools one all the time because thats what it says on it so I just refer to it as that all the time.

I don't really need any tight radius stuff, just radiator supports and stuff.

Yeah, you can't beat the price of the one from Speedway. The tool plus all the popular dies for under $200.
