As I said in the "new guy" intro, here are some shots of my project. When I decided the fate of the car last fall/winter I didnt have the presence of mind to take pictures, but rather concerned with how to stay warm while I wire brushed, sanded, wire brushed and sanded the underbelly and interior to respectability.Spring saw me painting zero-rust and doing cage work. Now that it is summer the rest awaits.... http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/IMG_0069.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/Project1970Z28010-1.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28009.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28007.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28011.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28012.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/IMG_0058.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project19http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28019.jpg70Z28017.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28020.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/IMG_0070.jpg

Welcome it looks great. It must have been in pretty good shape, did you have to do any metal work on the bottom?

Thanks Wayne, Overall the floor pans, toe boards, trunk etc.are solid original There are a couple of bad spots that I havent brought myself around to doing yet---most likely caused by the leaky roof where it sat.I wont complain though because I sure have seen worse!

Those of you that remember or know of the Roger Penske/Mark Donahue era of Trans-Am A/Sedan racing can relate to where I am going with this car.The rules allowed updating and backdating within a specific model yet specifically prohibited suspension changes that werent consistant with the original design. This made it more of a manufacturer product race because aftermarket parts were strictly limited yet modifications to production pieces was more lenient. It is my goal to stay consistant with these in my build and have some fun track days, autocross and vintage racing.....Oh a couple more pics! http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28017.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28016.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28015.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/Project1970Z28014.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/pedals/steering%20column/IMG_0037.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/pedals/steering%20column/IMG_0033.jpg

One thing I know is that if you go fast(relative term) you have to be able to slow down. Now that mockup of the steering column is done it is time to put pedals and masters in. There is something about having a motor in the car that makes you feel something is getting done! http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/IMG_0071.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/pedals/steering%20column/IMG_0037.jpguff/IMG_0071.jpg[/IMG] This is the swing pedal assy I am using http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/pedals/IMG_0028.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/pedals/IMG_0029.jpg While I am out in my tropical garage tomorrow I might as well put this in http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/pedals/IMG_0031.jpg http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af10/frankzstuff/project%201970%20camaro/pedals/IMG_0030.jpg Man,I already broke into a sweat

I love the path your taking with this car. The humidity has been insane the last few days. Where are you located? I'm in Elgin.
