Steve Rupp put a couple of photos in the most recent Camaro Performers of a truly outrageous third gen build being done at Rad Rides by Troy for an owner named Joe Lendway. Check it out! Meanwhile, I took my somewhat scruffy '89 IROC out for a spin yesterday and a young guy at a stoplight wanted to buy it and an elderly lady in a sport ute gave me a long look and a thumbs up as I went by her on the freeway. Hang in there third genners; our day is coming!

troy is a bad ass builder but that 3rd gen camaro is a cross between speed racers mach 5 and the starship enterprise.im not felling it but i can appriciate all the hard work put into it.i guess ill have to see it done to give my final vote.

Um, yeah, it's too far over the top for my tastes also. Particularly those thingies that project back from the tops of the front wheel arches. I do like the 5th gen tail lights, though. I guess I'm mostly stoked because a 3rd gen owner is investing that kind of time and money in what some people perceive as the "red headed stepchild" of the Camaro world.:)

That 3rd Gen at Troy's is pretty over the top. Anyone know what color(s) its going to be painted?

I would agree also that it is a little excessive, but no doubt Troy and his team do amazing work. Guess we'll see what the final product looks like. I haven't heard about a color.
