Its been a while since I have posted anything but I figured my time was better spent in the garage working on the car rather than on the computer. so here is the update;

Frame is blasted, boxed, braced, facory welds cleaned and repaired where
needed, gussets added, and tranny x-member built(but might redo).

Engine, LS1 w/ 4L60E has been installed into frame.

Body, has been mineral blasted and primed. Almost all of the rust work has been completed and should be done in by the weekend. Firewall has been filled and smoothed as far as I can go right now with out more parts, still have a little of body work to finish but I think its coming along pretty fast since im no body guy and learning as I go.

Next step will be to get the suspension under it. Ill get some updated pics up soon.

Okay, it's been a while. Here's what's new; front suspension is on thanks to Mark @ SCC. I went with the complete Steet comp AFX package w/ SPC lower arms. Parts look awesome. Fire wall is redone. Decide to cut out all precious work and start with nice flat sheet metal. Cut and reworked passenger side cowling to raise the Vintage Air bow up and out of the way. Again another had it done and mounted but was not happy with it. Moved wiper motor into fender well. I'll try to get some pics up this weekend. Or if your local it will be at Nor-cal Nicks shop the weekend. Check out his post.

That's gonna be a sweet ride, nice choice in wheels. I was seriously considering the Draft's when I was choosing wheels.

It's all stock out of a 2000 camaro. I found a guy selling out of a wrecked car about ten minutes from my house. My plan is to use it for mock up then either replace it with a new LS ? or refresh and build up this one when I tear the car down for paint. Just have to see what the budget looks like then.

Keep up the good work. I saw a lot of that rust on my '66 Malibu.

I finally got off work early enough today to go pick up my tire's and have them mounted. I ended up going with Michelin PS2's and they look sick on the wheels (I felt like a new dad watching through the window as they were being mounted). I'll try to get them under the car on Sunday if I get the day off and I'll post some pic's.

Found some time to get on the computer and catch everyone up on how the car is coming....
Since my last post the Fab9 has been installed with a Moser through bolt case holding a 35 spline Wavetrac. All being held in place a Chassi Works G-link and QA1 coil overs. On each end of the Fab9 is a pair of Wilwood 14" rotors and 4 piston calipers. Matching 14" Wilwoods with 6 piston calipers are on the shelf waiting to go on. Took a break from the car to add on to the garage so I had more room to work. Added on 530 square feet. It's almost done just need to get up some sheet rock and do the finish work. But when I saw HPI's new K brace kit I had to have it. After a few emails back and forth it was on it's way here. I had to get it on the frame as soon as it showed up. HPI did a great job on the kit. I had boxed my frame previously but with a little trimming thier tubes fit like a glove. Hope to get the body back on in the next few weeks to see how it all looks together.
