I was at the Brockville car show and I saw this flathead. Now what is it? It can't be a 12cyl, is it a v8?

I ment the engine. I don't get the 6 sparkplugs and the 4 exhaust ports.

its a flathead , they used only 3 exhaust ports on all v8 flatheads . so on a v12 there would only have 4 . because the center cyl shared the same pipe .

It is probably out of Lincoln Zephyr. They made a flat head V-12 in the late 30's. Cadillac made a V16 in the 30's also.

And I think you are right, I vote for Lincoln also. Gotta love flatheads they cost more than a LS motor to build and get a 1/4 of the horsepower...But they look cool. This one was 50k to build they told me.And still only put out 300 hp

Yep, Lincoln for sure. Chip Foose has one in his roadster. Back in the day, they were notorious for cooling issues.

Lots of cooling issues... most of them were later replaced with smallblock chevys.
