I have a 67 camaro and was thinking about changing the door handles out for a modern flush mount handles. Has anyone done this before? If so, what would be the process in doing this and what year and make car handle is compatible with the 1st gen camaro door latch?
Thanks,
Jon

The ones I've done in the past. I would either get donor doors or cut a good section of teh door out of the car that I wanted to use the handles from. Trim to fit, cut place for it in camaro doors and weld in. Then modify latch to work with new handle. That the simple way to put it. If you want some pics and details email me at [email protected]

X2

That's exactly what we did on my 68

These handles are off a 2004 Holden Commodore, but i understand the same handles are on a similar age Impala in the US

Latch needs to be modified as it opens opposite direction to original latch (can't remember if new is up or down versus old up or down).

I do have other pics...
