Thanks for posting up Scott. The 57 and the Shadow Chevelle were some super nice rides. Which vette had the CF tubs, I didnt notice that car walking around. Did it go into hiding (trailer) when it started downpouring like some other rides did. Some must think there rides are going to melt. The Lakeside Rod cars were there and many other hot cars, then pufffff they were gone. Never even seen them from Sat. 12:00 on.

It was a red C5 that was tubbed out. It was kinda odd looking, like they narrowed it too much or didn't want to stretch the wheel openings. The car itself was ok, but I found the tubs and cage work to be interesting to look at.

I missed the car completely, however the CF tubs is what caught my eye in your photo spread.

Heh, that would have been right at home in Ohio/PA about 30 years ago. I still remember looking at hi-lift coils in J.C.Whitney (I think) plotting and planning my own. By the time I had a car and a license Pro Street had arrived...
Cool pics. I love that gray Malibu.

Thanks.
I have Nikon D90 and was using my 10-24mm lens at Car Craft. The wide angle makes it much easier to get pics when there's a crowd.
The pics are right off the camera, all I did was resize them to 1280 pixels wide.

Look at the concession stand " Cheese on a Stick " Sums it all up. Ha, that would be a good name for the car.

ROTFLMAO! I know. Before I moved a guy I know had just brought his 69 Camaro out of hibernation. He put a Mitchell 540 (I think) in it, a race-prepped TH400, some new ET Streets - all with the mile-high stance and 4-wheel drum brakes!!! We tried to tell him to get it down, get some brakes on it, etc, but he thinks it's great just like it is. He also thinks it's a $100K car.
Everything they thought was great there was 10-20 years behind the times. The original Pro Street is still hot, and most of them have no clue what Pro Touring is about. The guys who built P/T cars get almost no attention because the "mainstream" hotrodders in that valley think they just put some wheels on it. "Whadda ya mean go around corners? Just slow down and hit when the road get straight again."

in my area theres alot of that. lots of cars running around with riveted on snorkel scoops, tires sticking out past wheel wells and poor stances. theres even some old school continuous line paint and murals if you look around at some of the mopar guys.... cars like that make up about 50 percent of our scene in central pa, with the rest being a few guys that are up to date or stock resto type stuff.

I noticed the Purple Firebird has a skid plate on the diff....he probably still tries to outrun cops leaving a kegger in the middle of a cornfield like we did back in highschool....those Monroe Skyjacker's were useful back then.
My '69 Camaro in high school was primer gray and I ran a set of dirt track wheels and tires on it with air shocks. The camber gain was scary as hell, but you could bo duke that thing all day. :_paranoid
