rear axle vent leaks

My rear axle vent leaks after I have driven the car. I have over 16" of hose with a loop at the end and a vent. Have no idea what could cause this. It is in the right location. Could it be heating up too much? Could the fluid be foaming? I dont know.

That whole loop deal is nonsense. All it does is cause the rear end to build pressure until it belches fluid out the filter. The best way is to vent it into a canister in the trunk and back out.

What your saying makes sense but there is nothing special about the rear end setup. I wouldnt think a canister would be needed. Any idea what causes the problem? Maybe a more simple fix?
