Well I picked up my TA from Brent Jarvis at Performance Restorations. I had a complete Heidt's front subframe and rear 4 link. I had 12.19" 6 piston Wilwood front and 12.19" 4 piston rear Wilwoods. The tires are Nitto 555 245/40/18 front and 285/40/18 rear,. The rims are Rushforth forged Live Wires. 18x8 4.75 bs and 18x10 5.75 bs. Car handles better and rides like a newer 4th Gen. What a difference between the rack and pinion and coil overs. Lost another 220 pounds. When I first bought the TA it weighed 4200 lbs. I am now down to 3600 and I have a full interior and all steel body.

Looks fantastic! I can't believe it weighed that much in the beginning. How long did it take them to do the conversion?

When you can, try to get some more pics of the car. I am particularly interested in what the wheels/tires look like from different angles. I am trying to decide on tire sizes for mine and I want to see how the 285 looks from behind.

600lb reduction. wow

Where did you take the weight from?
1) coils and shocks
2) subframe weight close to the same
3) brake calipers

The weight reduction: Honey comb rims, very heavy. All heating and a\c removed. Aluminum heads, intake, water pump. Manual disc brakes. Lite weight forged wheels. No spare or jack. And of course the new suspension. All adds up. Each honey comb rim weighs as much as a complete rim and tire. Most people don't realize that a 75 TA weighs 4200 lbs.
The conversion should have taken a lot less time. It was 7 months. But remember this is the first TA done. 70-74 F bodies are a little different than 75-81. And the Firebirds are a little different than Camaro's. Now a shop should be able to do the install in a week or two.

I hope to have some pics soon. My friend just finished shooting it for an upcoming issue of High Performance Pontiac. Suspension install article. When the article and pics are submitted I will have a bunch of pics. I will try to borrow a camera to get some. I did get two videos posted.
