I have been kicking the idea around of selling my Saleen and getting a more finished PT 2nd gen Camaro. I would love to pick up a 70-73 but was also thinking of 74+ years. I would like to see if you guys have any pics to show me to get some ideas.

Heres my car:

74 Z. Needs wheels/tires and brakes still obviously, but the suspension and steering are done. Youd be surprised how nice of a car you can buy in the 74-81 years for almost no money. Ive seen show cars for under 10 grand.

I have to agree with you there. I have seen some really nice 80-81 Z28's that are really nice for decent money. I just can't picture them in PT trim.

All these were borrowed from NastyZ28.com , should give you some idea of whats possible. Of course its whats under the skin that makes a car "pro touring".

my vote would be a firebird 77 or 78 vintage...

AMAZING cars! BUT, there goes the low price range.
Those cars consistently fetch what they should, for being as cool as they are. Most of the camaros in this post probably have less than 15 grand into them.

I started looking for late 2nd gens too after I saw that! More pics here: Hot Rod Camaro (http://www.bangshift.com/blog/Freiburger-s-New-Hot-Rod-Project-Camaro-Revealed-on-Power-Tour.html).

Exactly.
Most of those cars aren't "pro-touring" cars. They're just new rims and tires. I'm Aceshigh on Nastyz28

Baldwin Motion Paint Theme with '96 Grand Sport Corvette paint.
Hotchkis TVS + HPS1000 shocks, SC&C UCA's, C5 brakes w D+S rotors, Solid Aluminum body bushings,
Hooker sidepipes, Centerline Galaxy 901 rims. Autometer Cobalts, 4th gen seats, etc.
You can see my sidepipes are showing surface rust from the elements. I'm debating murdering them all black with my rims.

There's always going to be people who disagree with you, and then act like douches regardless of their age.
Ya know the little dorks who annoy you in life, they are behind computer screens abroad goin keyboard commando full throttle.
There's been an influx of new members like this, so I'm just staying out of the social sections.
I keep in touch with the kewl kats in the tech sections.
youd think with how much some of them hate cops theyd LOVE you.
Well I'm not anti-police in the slightest, I worked for NCIS when I was Active.
However after my brothers incident (http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2010/04/streamwood-cop-charged-with-beating-motorist.html), I've been promoting justice and accountability regardless of the "brotherhood" affiliation.
Many who are related to or know LEO's don't like that.
I have numerous LEO friends who side with us on this as well. Some just choose the opposite side. It's life.
Thanks for the props.
