he didn't pick up the engine until Monday afternoon.................... he's on a mission.
So far things are going well. I need to relocate the Alt. Also have some clearance issues with the front rack/pinion.(I have old style Fat Man clip). My oil pan hit's the frame on the passenger side. Plan to mock up the tranny and bell housing next.
If I wasn't still in the learning curve things would go a little faster. Or I should have just brought my car to Jody's house it would be done by now!!!

I thought that was going to clear. I've seen that drive kit used with stock muscle car subframes and it cleared. Of course which mounts and how they mount, as well as your subframe isn't stock makes a difference.

Add into the equation that it's a Firebird and you've got to do everything twice as nothing fits as advertised... ask me how I know!
GREAT progress! Can't wait to see your 'bird finished!!!
I thought it would fit as well. The front clip has given me a lot of challenges even a SB did not fit well and it was designed to fit a SB. This is all part of learning.
I thought if you have a FB it takes at least 4-5 times to get something to fit right!!!!
I was not able to find any brackets for the coils. I just converted my welder to a mig and came up with this idea.
Just got back from the muffler shop. Now ready for the dyno!(I think)
