Looking for a victim...or volunteer for a magazine article I'm working on.
I am looking for the following:
1. older chevy with a EFI LS motor
2. It has to be currently using - or would be willing to get a mail order tune in the system.
3. Car has to be road ready (for drivability testing)
4. Willing to bring the car to the Chicago area on AUGUST 6 for a free live dyno tune.
Car will be featured in the article and will get the free tune - owner will have to cover the expense of transport - etc.
Anybody interested?

How about a 71 Nova with a single turbo 6.0, 4L80E, and E85? Its running a mail order tune now patiently awaiting a dyno tune.

LS1Nova won't match up well with this so...let me know what you have.
The car needs to currently be running on a mail order tune (not just a start up tune, but one that has been matched with the intention of being complete)
Needs to be a classic Chevy with a LS
Needs to be decent looking (for the photographs)
Needs to be able to be present on Aug 6 in the Chicago area to be thrashed on the dyno and some drivability testing.
Car has to be transported, etc, at owner's expense - dyno is free

Sure you don't want a 1972 Chevy Vega with a 5.3L with LS1 and LS7 parts on it? :)
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Been really busy here.

Man, that sounds cool. I had confirmed the other day with you shop via phone that at least at that moment there wasn't anything that would exactly fit this project. Thanks though...and I do hope to be able to come up with some cool things with you guys in the future.
Loved watching the Pontiac and the Vette tear it up at the muscle car challenge.

Ended up using my car.
The article is now out.
You can view it on-line at www.chevyenthusiast.com
(December issue).
It was a blast, and Jim made the car purr like a kitten. I was surprised to see how much was left on the table in terms of drivability from the mail order to custom order tune. ...Oh, and this time we didn't explode the drive shaft!
