Nothing too specific, just random stuff from the Tour. Thanks again to Ken and Paulette. Spending time with friends like them is what it's all about.

It was a short tour for me this year, but still covered 1,395 miles. The car averaged 21.5mpg for the overall trip, and I got 25.2mpg on the first leg from my house to Newton.

Iowa Speedway was awesome. I'm definitely going to try to get to a race down there sometime. It was great getting to drive on the track, too. We sandbagged and then let it have it. Best $20 I spent all week.

Love your pics Scott, and it was great to see you (briefly) in DuQuoin. Hope the combination of Midwest Mexican food and Charley for dinner company didn't leave you doubled-over later that night!

Scott do you have any idea who's intake and efi set up that is on that green truck? I think it's super cool in the right car.

Scott,

What focal length fisheye are you using? Is it made for the 1.5 multiplier or is it full frame? Is it Nikon or a 3rd party? Noticed it looks handy from the other threads with pics inside your garage.

that's a cool look. I would have run a carb'd intake and single throttle body to complete the illusion...................

It looks like a GM carb intake that was drilled for the injectors, but I can't tell whose throttle body it is.

Probably a GMPP intake with Holley's EFI.

What car was this in Scott? Thats got to be one of the coolest conversions ever done. This is beyond subtle. I bet 100's walked right on by.

Can anybody tell me about how long the Tour is at each venue? I am heading out to the event at Hoover tomorrow and I was hoping to find out the best time. It is a shame that they didn't plan to have a stop at the Barbers Motorsports Park. It is just a few miles outside of Birmingham and is a great track.

I just realized that there is an LS hiding under those fake big-block valve covers. Pretty slick!

That pic was taken at 10mm with my Nikon D90 which uses their DX format. I have the color control turned up so the colors are more vibrant. Other than resizing the images, that's how the image comes off the camera.

I see people starting to pull out of the venue around 5. By 6, it's a mass exodus as that's when the vendors typically start leaving so they can drive to the next venue.

Those are the first coil covers that actually look good. Are they one-offs?
