I stumbled across this listed in an auction email I get periodically. I have never heard of Leake auctions. Wonder if they can attract the right kind of buyer for this.

That is an amazing car. That ZL1 is one beautiful engine. I wonder if it can fetch what its worth there though.

I went to the one last year and there are plenty of high rollers there. The Howard Hughes car sold for a million last year...I would expect this car to sell.

I just read on the Auction house website that this car will come with a brand new set of all WHITE SNEAKERS.....:D That should really help bring in the money on the block....

Too bad it's for sale, the car has an eight-page feature spread in the July issue of Camaro Performers magazine.

All my life - cars returned about 50 cents on the dollar spent to build them... it appears we've returned to that 'norm'. It is a "HOBBY"... not a money maker. :>(

A couple of other observations of returns to the "norm":

Your house is not an ATM

Cars are not "investments"

Retirement will come much sooner than you think

  :woot:

I had a Camaro I sold on Friday. I would have liked a little more but I was fine with what I got considering Friday is a no commission day for sellers.
