Sepquential LED Tail Light Problems....

Ok so I purchased a set of Spaghetti Engineering Sequential LED tail lights for my 72 Nova about a year or so ago. After I installed them (followed instructions to the T) I had issues with both LED boards blinking randomly. I called Spaghetti and was told that they had one other set do this and to just send them back so they could solder in a "voltage filter". They told me to check my alternator also to make sure it wasnt putting out any AC voltage, which I did (it was fine). Well I got my boards back and they still did the same thing. I called Spaghetti back and they said they thought maybe they just werent getting a full 12 volts and the boards needed full 12v to operate properly. Well at that point I ran a wire strait to my battery (mounted in the trunk) and that fixed the drivers side board (but killed my battery from a small draw all the time) but the pass side still does it. Im lost at this point and havent been able to drive my Nova for a while because of this issue and also had to purchase a new optima battery from the lights draining it so many times. Also I have a set of thier front marker LED boards and they work perfect, I dont get it?
Anybody else run into this? Have a remedy for it?

I don't have these but I was looking at installing them on my car and did you buy the electronic Led flashers or did they come with the kit?

Might be the problem might not be. Please keep us posted on the results b/c if people are having problems with these lights I'll find others to buy.

Yes, I purchased the recommended no load flashers at the same time and installed them, so I dont think that could be the problem....

i posted on PT.com. Check for a reverse current issue with bad connections somewhere else in the car. The flickering issue is rare, and have always been fixed with their filter that I have seen

Im not familiar with the Spaghetti Engineering lights. But I have worked with LEDs. They do like to have a nice DC. The voltage isnt as critical as the DC. I think the not sufficient 12VDC Q from them was just reaching. If the voltage isnt high enough the LEDs just wont fire, but they wont flicker.

I think its their board to be honest.

Is there one board per side? If so do a simple trouble shooting technique. Swap the boards side to side. If the flicker follows the board then its a done deal, its the board. JR

Mine (68 Bird) had one section of left panel that were sticking on/off from time to time. Sent them back and Spaghetti sent new lights (without complaint and right away). Still had the problem. Adjusted brake pedal and there was a bad ground on a brand new wiring harness (from what I am told surely not doing electrical myself). Between the brake pedal switch and the wiring this was not their problem. Was really annoying though.

Lights would come on in the garage and kill the battery as well. People would tell me there were something wrong with my taillights flashing on and off. Check your pedal just in case.

Replaced the ground and haven't had a problem since. I still dig'em.
